Well, the wife just rolled over on the sofa. She didn't see that I'm reading strip club reviews! I just read two, and both spoke about a private dance area across a court yard. here is what one said about the place:

"The VIP rooms are located in the courtyard behind the club past the bathrooms (which are absolute ****). I’ve never been in one and can only go on what I’ve heard, but I hear they’re completely private and what goes on in there can be negotiated beforehand."

Another reviewer talked about them probably needing to use bleach every hour in one corner of a private room. It sounds like there is more than dancing that goes on in that place. I also learned that most people don't rate the place very highly. This is mostly due to the looks of the dancers. Don't shoot the messenger. I'm just telling you what I read.

My husband walked up behind me while I was reading those reviews earlier, but it didn't faze him. He's grown accustomed to seeing strange things on my computer screen.

It's only a couple of days between when she was last seen and when the torso was found. I'm pretty sure her body wouldn't have decomposed to the point that they couldn't tell the difference between cuts and animals ripping at flesh. The piercings and the tattoos were still discernible, and the tools used would leave markings in the bones that would surely still be visible after a couple of days. IMO and I'm no forensic expert.

Well, I found the person who posted the Youtube tribute to Hillary. She also is a "friend" on the Stiletto's My Space page. Someone posted a comment thanking her for the Youtube tribute, and she responded by saying that she worked with Hillary for a long time. I think she may be another dancer.

On the same My Space page, there is a friend listed only as "RIP Chrissy". Her age is listed as 36. What happened to Chrissy?

Okay, I have a question for everyone who says that it's up to the parents to get their son or daughter's case media coverage: How did JonBenet's case manage to get so much publicity then? From December 1996 to February 2000, John and Patsy made the following TV appearances:

January 1997: CNN interview
May 1997: Press Conference
July 1998: British TV Special
November 1999: Nashville media interview

That's four appearances in over three years. JonBenet was never even missing, so the media couldn't report on searches. Is that case just the exception? I think parents do play a role, but I think the media ultimately decides just how much press they will give a case.

ETA: BTW, I'm not looking to go OT and discuss why JBR got so much attention. I know why she did. I just wanted to give an example of a case that got massive coverage without the parents talking to the media 24/7.

I am new to the forum; I joined after I heard the horrifying news that a female torso had washed up on the beach here in Mississippi. I cannot imaging the horror of it all. Someone apparently did not want the victim to be readily identified

There is a friend of Jaren's here that knows her B/F . They say he would not lay a hand on her or hurt a flea. I have a feeling she was abducted of the street .

I hope it's not a predator stalking and killing women.

There have been FAR too many cases, as we well know, where the husband or boyfriend was "not the type to do this kind of thing":

I hope it isn't the boyfriend. Statistics prove otherwise far too often. And the alternative is far more frightening.

It would seem that someone would have had to take her to their home or someplace secure in order to dismember her body (Jaren, or whoever the victim may be). I can't imagine this is a procedure one would do out of doors, unless in a very isolated area. Did she take a ride with a familiar face, instead of a cab? Or is there a killer cab driver? I wouldn't be surprised if a customer at the club would be the same type of person to troll around just watching girls in general, and happened to see her looking for taxi, for example. If she recognized him, maybe she accepted a ride.

If not someone in her private life, I think she fell victim to someone associated with the club; most of the women who work in these clubs are probably street-wise to the degree to not accept rides from total strangers, IMO...

Hoping the video at the club will be examined for any signs of someone paying her special interest...and if a suspect is found, I would think his home would hold some evidence of this type of a hideous crime...

Of course the amount of media coverage is a factor since it's hard to keep commenting on a thread when there is nothing new and it's always just "bump, still no news" but I think the double digit thread phenomenon is partially a forum format thing on WS. If there is a lot of activity on a thread, it's always on the top. If it's always on the top, there will be more readers. If there are more readers there will be more activity. If there is more activity, the thread is always on the top... The busy threads feed themselves.

I wish there was a forum here for those cases that don't get much msm attention..where it is acknowledged that much of the info should be classified as hearsay because it comes from other than msm sources (as an exception to the normal rules). The black child who is ignored because they aren't blonde/pretty as far as msm is concnerned. The missing who are marginalized and ignored. The msm links rule is a good one but if we could have a section for the cases not picked up and special circumstance permission to use family's words or posts on the murder or disappearance and a list of legitimate crime blogs, there are some lol which could be referenced as "alleged, rumor" etc. but keep the discussion going to try and find answers for those who are wrongly ignored due to looks or social status.

I remember one case where LE refused to consider a serial killer and women kept going missing. That is the sort of case where sleuthing other sources would make sense, perhaps tie together some things to make MSM take notice.

Hillary's Aunt mentioned Jaren in a post today, and stated the two were friends. No mention on how Hillary passed.

Slidell is an area that is pretty spread out, so depending on where you live, you'd be about 20-30 minutes from New Orleans. At least one of the print and tv news has Northshore bureaus that report news items to the metro area. I am a news junkie and I don't recall any news regarding Hillary. A final note, when you see "Northshore", it's referring to the area north of Lake Pontchartrain) from Metairie/New Orleans.
