Now I am wondering why I have not heard more about the Metairie serial killer Charles Atwood?

This is a complete long shot, but worth consideration. For a second, at least.

A man was struck by a train in the Bywater neighborhood yesterday...

The man had no identification, Gagliano said. He has dark-brown or black hair and a tattoo on his right arm that appears to be carnival masks. Gagliano said. He was wearing khaki shorts and a black shirt.

This^^^^^^ is what I believe as well. I think they all went to an after party and met up with someone else. If the couple left Jaren with this other person, and left, and then found out what happened, they may be in hiding themselves. OR they may have been killed and disposed of also. Maybe they did not receive the same treatment that Jaren did because she was the intended target. They were just collateral damage and may be found somewhere else later on.

I don't know. I think when you have a missing woman and there is video of her leaving the club early with two people as the last known to see her....

well if you are innocence or scared for your life, you run don't walk to LE to let them know what went on that night..and get some protection if needed by having the creep locked up that did it.

How many cases when the last known person to see her has suddenly become missing end up with it as an innocent disappearance? The woman maybe. The man? He is well known by all accounts in the area so clearly is intentionally making himself scarce.

Of course LE have to keep open the idea they are possible victims as well and they certainly aren't going to announce they are probable murderers-that likely won't get the results they want - but im betting they are involved.

ESPECIALLY when LE gave them every single opportunity to come forward, holding back the video even though they have the name of the guy apparently and announcing the release which they could have stopped by coming forward

Plus if they all knew each other as it looks like, and are known to the club, dancers or people there, then they would have heard about the video release imo.

Good thought but Memoryfoam posted that he knows who the man is and presumably so does LE from what he said...surely they would have checked the ID of the guy hit by a train, there must be a BOLO out on him.

Not even a mug shot for a "serial killer" nor his accomplice. That is unusual. Hard to deny the fact that the victims were strippers. I read someone make note that had these girls been Tulane students instead of dancers their cases would not be swept under the rug.

Just thinking how fast things can turn ugly in situations with people. I don't think this was a preplanned kill, i think something went very wrong very fast wherever they were. Jaren was dead and the first thought was to somehow get her body out into deep water. Dismembering was for ease of travel and ease of losing her to the deep...thinking that small pieces would be eaten not float up.

The article states the man carried no identification. I'm not sure what a "BOLO" is?

Another thought...whoever did this had to be very strong or have power tools to do the job. Dismembering itself isn't that hard if you disarticulate at the joints the way you cut up a chicken but they went through the thigh bone and cut it in two.

I guess a regular saw would do it but it would be so much faster with a power saw. That is a big big tough bone.

Maybe they were victims as well. Or maybe they figured out what happened and are scared for their lives. The killer would be looking for them if they made it known that they dropped her off with someone before she was murdered.

I just don't think they would troll for a victim, right there in front of the video cams. They would have told her to meet them outside, and walked separately,if the planned to kill her, imo.

I actually have no particular theories on what/where these two individuals are at presently, but am in agreement wit those who believe that if it is found that these two individuals are in some way responsible for Jaren's extremely heinous murder and disposal that THEY IN NO WAY PLANNED TO DO SO.. IMO Jjust as Kate mentions above if these two had planned this with Jaren as their intended victim they would have imo easily have waited outside of the vview of AT THE VERY LEAST the surveillance cameras of Temptations ... i mean its not as tho, they would have eeven have had to wait very long for Jaren to be off work and of her own free will exited the club at which time one or both of these individuals could have from that point lured Jaren into going somewhere with them..

It just defies logic to believe that these two at the moment in time documented on this video were of the premeditated frame of mind that they were going to at some point there after having left the club with Jaren...that they were going to murder/dismember her.. jmo.

But I will say that while IMO it defies logic to believe they premeditated this...however we are on a very regular basis reminded that many times killers. .their intentions.. their mindset.. etc.. defy logic altogether so, for me still ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE as to what truly is the accurate truth of what/why Jaren Lockhart was murdered at some point that early Wednesday morning
