As an aside- I'm unable to find images of Atwood et al. Very, very strange

Same here. Not very many news articles about it either.. seems there's more about it on people personal blogs than on any actual news sites.

I was going to ask what a Street Performer is in New Orleans. In San Francisco, it could be anyone from a mime, juggler, singer, dog act, guitar player, etc.

I've seen them in New Orleans.

Perhaps the OP was referring to the tag 'street performer' as it was applied.

I did a double-take when I first saw the person in the black dress wearing heels at the door -- very tall, and stood like a man.

Some thought it was ODD to have a woman posted at the door!
Guess we were ALL right!

FWIW!

Still makes no sense to me what Street Performer means in this context.

So weird. Somebody can see it, if they're referencing a resemblance

I can't believe there's no mug shot or newspaper photos

I'd like to be able to scrub everything about me off the Internet this effectively

It is very common on Bourbon St. to see scantily dressed women at the door of different bars/joints there. That is the 'lure' for the men!

Looks like an amazon woman to me.
But, hey! Whatever floats their boat!

I would expect smaller women to be used to
draw people in...

There are many, many street performers in NOLA. However I think the poster above took the term from the news site to mean something different entirely, possibly prostitute? If so that is the first thing I thought when I saw the woman in the video. However, I did not want to be the first to mention it.

If the man in the video and the man hit by the train are indeed the same person (which, again, is a long shot), he would have had to change clothes at some point in almost a week. But people do tend to wear the same clothes repeatedly, and if not the exact same clothes, then at least the same style.

I'm familiar with the location in question, and unless this man was deaf, there's no possible way that he could have missed there was a train coming.

Did they say the man was found hit by a train in the Bywater? If so, I too am very familiar with the area(family lives in Bywater)and yeah you're right, there is NO way he could not see or hear the train coming. Also Bywater is VERY close to the Quarter. Easily walking distance. Me and the hubby do it all the time.

It's too late! Your love of crime is well documented.

EXACTLY.

Curses!

That's satisfactorily misleading. I'm incurably addicted to trials. I've taken vacation days when a verdict comes in.
