I thought it was weird also that I could not find any articles about serial killer Charles Atwood and thought maybe he was ficticious until I found this:

I found an old post about Charles Atwood from 2003 that quoted an article from nola.com. The link is broken but the whole article is quoted

I don't know if I can link that site since it is a discussion board I am not familiar with, but if you google one of the victims, Dixie Esaki, it is a result that pops up with the date Oct 17, 2003.

Nope. He's definitely real. I went went to http://2theadvocate.com, which is the Baton Rouge newspaper, clicked on the archives, and searched Atwood and his accomplice's names. You can purchase the entire article for $2.95 if you like, but I was too cheap to do it.

Can you find any data about the victims? Their names are in the blog.

For what it's worth, stories published in local newspapers pre-2005 or so are often hard to come by with general searches online. Around that time, many newspapers centralized their archives, and as such, the records are only accessible by Lexis-Nexis or the like.

Thanks for the link and I know this is totally off topic, but I am now super curious as to why the internet appears to be scrubbed of info and pics on Charles Atwood....

I don't think there's any mysterious reason. There just weren't many news stories online back then, and even fewer were archived. I'l see what I can find.

Okay, I watched three of the videos. :yuck: The one where he compares the Atwood murders to JL's murder is mildly interesting, but amounts to speculation and hearsay. I really don't think it's worth our time to discuss.

Minors appear in the other two videos, plus a woman who has not been named in relation to this case by LE or MSM. So that's strikes two and three.

Bottom line, the videos are off limits. Don't link to them, and don't direct others to them.

The Atwood murders were real, however, and I don't see any harm in speculating about similarities and a possible connection IF we can do so without linking to this guy's videos.

Bessie, the woman in the video has at least 3 FB accounts, 2 of which are listed under the same name as Atwoods female accompliss. I know I can't link them, it's just bizarre.

(I'm talking about the woman in the video that Bessie is speaking about in the quote above, not the woman in the disappearance video unless they are the same person)

Moo.. of course but if Patricia Biehn was 33years old in 2003 when she was sentenced well...that'd make her a 42yo woman.. so again moo but even if this murdering accomplice to Atwood had been paroled. Had stated she'd be in NOLA a week ago

Seriously I believe that the locals who called in their info about their immediately recognizing the girl in hthe video.. combined with this girls Facebook account having suddenly been upand deleted ..IMO this particular avenue actually IMO could quite likely what/who LE is presently pursuing to at the very least question her about her last contact with Jarenthat is documented in this video.. and that LE further states that the couple and Jaren DID NOT part ways once having exited the club, but rather the three of them together continued down 3 city blocks and rounded a corner out of sight of any further surveillance.. I have a feeling that this girl that the locals quickly named, that coincidentally has just deleted her fb account.. my feeling is this is likely exactly who is in the video and I'll go it even a step further and say that there is very much a reason that i have kept the option open of this couple NOT MERELY BEING UNINVOLVED WITNESSES...but much different IMO that this couple is actually involved in what happened to Jaren..jmo..

The Baton Rouge Morning Advocate has archives that date way back before 2000, but the only articles that came up when I searched Atwood's victims' names were articles about the murders in general. Not much information about the victims other than a couple of the murders arose out of a foursome. I couldn't read the entirety of the articles without paying $, so this is what I could glean from the little that came up in the archive searches.

I looked all over and only found two articles, which were both similar. They were dated in 2003. The accomplice is named but that is not her FB page. She is 41 now and still lives in her hometown.

I agree with you re the man and woman in the video. The fact they haven't turned up on their own volition points to suspicion, especially with the FB page gone and the identifying comments to the article about Jaren. I ask myself, "What DOES a murderer look like?" and realize it can be anyone from their appearances.
