I think LE isn't showing the video with Jaren because they don't need to and probably don't want to show the last image of her alive without having to do so. They had the other images of the POI's, so why show Jaren with them to the public?

I know I am in the minority but everything about it being these two, and only these two, feels right to me. The whole "money for threesome" thing sounds like it probably was the lure. I think both are equally guilty.

The fact is that LE fingerprinted TS in order to confirm his identity because TS did not cooperate with them.
IF guess TCS could just delivered her to someone else to pay off a debt of some kind and drive away...
The brutality of Jaren's murder could have been a message of sorts... but come on! He was evading LE even once in custody!
His mug shots alone are so different! He really thought no one was the wiser huh?

Someone who has NO criminal background? - and until caught can't be identified through the system?

Is he just slipping them GHB and doing as he pleases with them taking time to assure he leaves nothing behind to identify him?

Or is he providing a sick "service" provided he gets to watch and not participate? Do they have a pre-teen available for him IF he brings the man a "date"?
Perhaps he did need to escalate the brutality, due to the fact they were older women.
I really DO THINK he has prayed on women before, hoping the type he has chosen will never be reported or investigated because of where they live and how they earn a living. He has probably done this before- making the deaths look like and OD or a suicide... perhaps this is exactly why he had decided to root himself in New Orleans.

The MO may be different... I'm not sure was a choice so much as it was a necessity!!!

Even if all he wanted to do was to rape the risk was too great that he would be reported and returned to prison, so the only way to assure that would never happen was to kill them.

It was said Jaren was street smart. I'd be willing to bet that she had a habit of never eating drinking anything someone else prepared for her while being "paid" for her company.

What if she refused to ingest TS's cocktail of choice?
Then realized what his intentions were.
If a woman fought like he!! I could see him stabbing her. OR even MAS stabbing her in a panic.
In Jaren's case I think wherever she was, wherever they took her she was stabbed to keep her quiet and not draw unwanted attention. They couldn't allow her to leave.
His plan would have just been another unexplained drug over dose, chalked up to the lifestyle and never looked into.~ case closed.

I wonder if he knew when they left the club that she didn't live alone. He probably planned to take her back there after she died from a drug overdose. I think that a wrench was thrown in his plans.
Clearly, he didn't know the area! If he had I don't believe she would have been found yet. Wherever they were, he couldn't just leave her there because IMO the location would lead right back to him and MAS.

I think there is still a crime scene that has not been located.
He may have been able to transport and dispose of her, but
he obviously didn't have a plan B.

Lockhart murder suspect faces new charge

Margaret Sanchez remains in Tangipahoa Parish jail Monday evening. Tangipahoa authorities have filed a new charge of harboring a sex offender against Sanchez. She had been held on a single count of resisting arrest.

I saw it...this is why I think that LE is just making sure they stay in jail until they have forensics or whatever they need to charge them with Jaren's murder.

I agree with a lot of your points.

I went w/ a family member in the spring semester to look for an apt in Nola. The availability is there, but prices are insane. Very few people who work in FQ can live there. Rentals are astronomical all over town.

Did you guys hear about the most recent murder in N.O. on the local news that they're calling justifiable??

Although I do find it to be a shame that this happened, it's sad that all of us in the New Orleans area are having to "take the law into our own hands" so-to-speak to do what is nessicary to protect out loved ones in our own home!

It's very disturbing to me that the crime is seemingly getting worse and worse...yet I've seen quite a few post on WS early on in keeping up with this case that just after reporting on JL's and other's murders on the news they would state that crime/murder seems to be on the decline in the crescent city!

WoW is all I can say! BC it almost seems like they are trying to fool people (tourists) IMO to keep the flow of tourists present bc ..Y.....undoubtedly $$$$$

It's almost like the business aspect is more important to these big wigs than the safety and well being of not only the locals but tourists as well!!

I really wish elected officals would quit lining their deep bottomless pockets for themselves and put the $$$$ into the city in doing so by hiring more NOPD and / or firing any anf all who cant or won't do the proper jobs they were hired to do!

It's a disgrace...I can't however say that the police and elected officals are all to blame here! Gosh we all know since Katrina the deviation in people had alot to do with the rise in crime....knowing that it seems as if the city could find a way to fund different organizations for teens as well as anyone in need to keep the people of new orleans busy and maybe bring more peoples spirits up as well!!

IDK much about how much is being put into the city's mental health systems as im from tge nothshore (St.Tammany Parish )i but I know even over here alot more still could be done to better the people in need .....

I know there may be some who disagree but its just some things I've been pondering searching in my mind of any possible positives that could be done to help the city!

Just a thought re: MAS as jealous stabber
I read/heard somewhere that it is very hard to stab someone in the chest and kill them. That it requires a good bit of strength to get through or around the ribs and or sternum into the spaces between the ribs to hit anything vital. The same would apply to the back where there are lots of ribs as well. After thinking on this IMO speaks would have to be the one with the knife. MAS doesn't look strong enough to give anyone a papercut, much less a lethal blow to the chest. Also, one of the true crime books I read stated that the best way to stab someone through the heart is by going in through the abdomen at an angle upward under the ribs into the chest cavity. Any medical people here have an opinion on how true this is?

To me it seems the more educated people are the less likely they are to be desperate..angry...hostile..etc... i think our people need to be better educated as well...
IDKH or what approaches could be taken in order to make that happen...but it seems if all ive stated previously could be taken into consideration ...these senseless acts of violence such as the horrible things that transpired in Jarens case could become less and less likely to happen

Even tho I know it wouldnt wipe out all crim, just seems as if it could possibly happen less

I also wanted to apologize for some ugly statements I made previously about MAS! I should not have said some of the tings I said... I am new here and I am learning still, but that's no excuse so I'd like to say I'm sorry I guess I got a little carried away with thinking of all that she put Jaren through in her final hours...which at this point is pure speculation on my part.....and although I have developed a strong hate in my heart for the girl for what I believe she may have done I should be more mature and not let my feelings get the best of me as they did!

Your last paragraph is very catching to me! Makes me wonder even more as I have always wondered if Jaren was slipped something or forced to injest something!! By these two or him alone!! Ughhh the thought makes me sick to my stomach!

They were so bold in front of the cameras. And they did not run away that first night. And now they are not pointing the fingers at each other. I think they are biding their time because they were not the butchers. JMO

True. But they might have met up with the killer immediately. Maybe they went to meet a third party on a boat or at a camp or a lake house. And it happened right after they left.

This theory has been tossed around so much here, yet many of us keep asking the same question: "Why then, did they try to pick up other girls that night if Jaren was the target?" It makes no sense that she was killed by someone who had revenge on their minds. They were looking for a girl, any girl who was willing to go. That makes it random and that means that any one of them would have ended up in pieces on the beach.
