Found Deceased LA - Jessica Easterly Durning, 43, New Orleans, 14 Aug 2019

New Orleans is known to be dangerous. But this area is one of the only areas in Orleans Parish that is still considered pretty safe. It is sought after and expensive real estate. I would really doubt anything happened to her in the day without anyone seeing.

People in this area are also vigilant about their neighborhood. There is even a facebook page that they watch for and report crime. I will have to look if anything is posted. I say that because tons of people have cameras or door cameras. My brother lives right there and does.

We also have Project NOLA that could possibly help. They have access to all the cameras who give them permissions and they help track crime. They give info to the police. I have a sneaking suspicion that the police already know what's up here. And I dont think it had anything to do with a vanishing human at the 1pm nap hour.

It would be weird to go to city park in the day and randomly drown in any of the water. Real weird.

I also worked in mental health for 16 years. I had a hard time getting real.live emergencies admitted because we have no mental health system left here. So, naw. She didnt go walk in and check herself in anywhere for 2 weeks. Not happening here. They damn near let you go if you're homicidal but maybe didnt get the weapon yet.

Just a follow up. The Lakeview crime watch page does have a post about her. You can see they often ask people for video. I'm thinking this has happened already, behind the scenes. I am hoping they got video following a path...... of her walking or any activity since she was last seen home.

Not much of a response from locals. Hoping LE did ask neighbors for footage. I didn't look to see if there are neighbors across the street who might have footage of the front of the house?

I wouldn't expect people with jealousy issues to be interested in that line of work.

I think....people might go into it thinking jealousy wouldn't be an issue...."I'm the one s/he cares for and is with..this stuff's just play....emotions not involved"...however.....human nature being what it is....suddenly emotions do become involved...on one side or another.....and this could cause unforseen issues.

MOO

Yep. Read many a story of people wanting to experiment in their sex lives by having a threesome for instance and both being for it, but it going on to cause a lot of insecurity and jealousy in the relationship after.

Hey @Knox, wish I had something to share. SM sites I've been checking since day one are disappearing. IIRC the friend Jessica reached out to when exhausted/afraid two days before she went missing, does not live in the same state. If Jessica contacted other friend(s) - near or far - for escape, it's not been publicized, which could be because they actually have her with them now. Unlikely, but just parking the thought here.

Nor would I ... it was surprising to hear how common it is. Sometimes one is wayyyy more into it than the other, or doing it for the other, or getting all the attention while the other is not "in demand".

The Viv_Lance feed was quite active over her first missing days and up to August 21, when the last messages were posted by husband - obviously having been looking at the things like this starting up online and people questioning. But there has been silence since from that quarter. Not one word other than he wanted her back in that last run of tweets.

Odd?

I feel that if there was anyone who knew something - say having used their services - they may well be reluctant to come forward, having to admit to police they used 🤬🤬🤬🤬 sites or partook in certain activities, particularly if undertaken without their partner's knowledge.

The type of thing they were involved in I believe can create a lot of jealousy, on either partner's side.

Sitting on my hands but I know what I think.

Not just jealousy, but if one of the partners wants to take it further than the other wants, or one wants to give up doing it completely and the other doesn't, that too will create conflict.

I couldn't find this case on WS and googling what I could remember about it only brought up unrelated NSFW links. It finally popped up again today and I was glad I didn't imagine it.

I can't believe how little information is out there! It's really bizarre that no one is discussing this case!

My thought was perhaps Jessica wanted to take a step back, or simply quit that lifestyle. That may have created a quarrel which escalated. Perhaps the other partner didn't want to be without the income those activities generated?

No TV or press appeals. Nothing more from LE. Husband has said nothing. Family don't appear to be visible, bar a cousin who posted to the Missing Persons site.

Could it be an attempted publicity stunt to garner more followers to their "business?"
This would be bad publicity. I guess maybe because this kind of life does not float our boat.
However JMO I would not want to follow a couple where one is missing. Too creepy. I would suspect this would be bad for business.
Does anyone know if she is in NAMUS yet?

Funny you should say that as I had a thought along similar lines. Given the nonchalance of husband, and reluctance to call police, it crossed my mind whether a client wanted a kinky kidnapping/bondage roleplay type thing, where she would be held and used as his 'sex slave' for a given time.

Have I been watching too many movies?!
