They are still watching interrogation videos of Tellis as of one hour ago. Appatently they will stay as long as it takes tonight to watch them all. Darkhorse Press will have a written article after court ends today. She reports that she has heard new info so I'm looking forward to tonight's reporting

Trial set to begin more than a decade after killing of international ULM student

Quinton Tellis is accused of stabbing and killing Ming-Chen Hsiao, a Chinese international student at the University of Louisiana Monroe, in 2015. The trial is on the court's dockets, more than a decade after Hsiao's death.

For keeping us updated. I remember Jessica and her horrifying demise... and when Mandy was found as QT was a possible connection it was so sad but I was hopeful justice could be served.

But it's taken over a decade. I don't even know if Mandy's family are here to watch. Her own voice has been lost completely in all of this. She's just a "grad student from Taiwan".

I did, however, appreciate this exchange documented in the article.

“So you’re going to tell me that this graduate student from Taiwan who got her masters degree has a thing for crackheads?” Cookson said. “She doesn’t want a man who’s educated and can can offer her something? She wants to stay here in the United States with a crackhead?”

I mean..... Cookson called it out pretty well.... Said what I was thinking when QT claimed there was some romantic element between the two.

Court over for the day. Will resume tomorrow am and go through Friday. Court officials are telling Therese Apel that there will not be a verdict on Friday. A new court date will be set. Probably April or May to finish the trial. I guess you can do that when you don't have a jury. She will post an update article on today's takeaways later today. These details were given in a FB live from the courthouse.

"A few days after the wedding, Hill testified, Tellis told Hill about how he had gone into “a Chinese lady’s” house and taken her into her bedroom and stabbed her until she gave him her Chase debit card pin number. He said he had met Hsiao while fishing, and told Hill he needed to find another Asian woman who could go withdraw the money using Hsiao’s ID."

3/19/26 Thursday, Trial Day 3: State witnesses: Landlord [found body]. Connie Griffith [friend of Mandy's]. Eric Hill [cousin of Tellis' ex-wife, Chakita Jackson]. MPD Detective Duane Cookson returned to the stand as the prosecution showed more of Tellis’s interview videos. Trial continues on Friday, 3/20/26 @ 9am.
*Court will resume on Friday. Court officials are saying that there will not be a verdict on Friday. A new court date will be set. Probably April or May to finish the trial. The trial will not likely wrap up Friday because there are several witnesses for the prosecution yet to take the stand. Then the defense will present their case. So, it is up in the air whether or not it will continue on Monday, March 23, or if it will be pushed back to a later date. In speaking with Judge Larry Jefferson, Thursday, he said he was not sure yet whether the trial would continue or be postponed.

In my opinion, its a toss up on a conviction. No QT DNA. Given the judges past decisions, I will be surprised if he is convicted. This judge has a interesting career history. A not good history. Read about him sometimes.
