And if St Martin parish LE is holding him that would allow Lafayette PD to truthfully make the statement they made to Independent today.

Could the FBI arrest him?

Lafayette Parish Sheriff's office has a searchable database for warrants/bookings...anyone know if St. Martin does?

I have their records online, not sure if civil/criminal shows up though. What do you want me to check? What's his name again? Randy McGee? Rocky I see.
I also have Lafayette online.

I could be totally wrong on this but I think only if it's a federal crime. I'm not sure if this one is.

One thing I'll say about possible bike routes is that it's tough to put yourself in somebody else's shoes to figure out what would be the probable route. And I say this as a very experienced cyclist who has ridden hundreds of hours at night.

For example, we know she didn't take the route her friend and fellow experienced Lafayette cyclist Brettly suggested. He thought she continued down Parkside when instead she actually turned onto Versailles.

Each cyclist picks his or her route based on personal preferences. This could include a past history on a certain road...there may be a spot where cars come too close for comfort, a pinch point, or a spot where it's too dark to see potholes or cracks in the road, or even a spot where a dog came out of a yard and chased the cyclist in the past or something like that.

I'm just saying that what may seem logical to someone looking at a map may not be what made most sense to Mickey given her riding history.

I agree with all of this, but today I realized I would have ridden Parkside. I once lived right off of Parkside and it is not all that heavily traveled-- or was not when I lived there.

Rocky McGee. Just wondering if they have issued a warrant for him...trying to validate this in some way other than The Independent.

BTW, Ko Dupuis Rd. is the next road to Courville...the house in question is on Courville...and there's a bayou/river that runs against their backyard. :/

Can you give us any tips on what to bring &I wear? Also, is there a minimum time you are required to stay? (Some of us have kidos through we will eventually have to get back to.

Make sure you have jeans, boots, and a hat. You don't NEED boots, but it would help. Also, if you have one, bring a machete to cut through bushes or grass. The amount of time you stay is at your discretion.

Let me elaborate. Say she Kept straight and the other truck thought it easier to cut through the neighborhood, but got turned around and headed back toward st Landry. There is a weird intersection at st Thomas and st Patrick where it's hard to see and traffic comes from different directions. Say he plowed through the yield sign and clipped her there? Hypothesizing. I'm just trying to wrap my brain around this

I mentioned it in the last thread but it was near the end before it was closed. So not sure if you read it, but I saw a city officer and a detective search the corner of St. Landry and St Patrick. It was Sunday afternoon. I'm not sure how long they had been there when I noticed them, but I stopped on the next block and watched for 5-10 minutes as they searched the side of the street and the sidewalk at that corner.

Rocky McGee.

Relevant also is the fact that this kid would know the bayous and swamp in that area like the back of his hand ....and also alternate ways than I-10 to access Whiskey Bay.

Edited to add: And boat access and knowledge.

Yes, I wonder who live in the house in Breaux Bridge that was referenced? Do we know what date this Rocky was interviewed by LE?

I believe that's the house where Rocky lives.

What we know about this guy on this thread alone gives ample motive for a disappearing of the bike and Mickey.

No I didn't see it, thanks for reposting. I'm thinking if she was very close to the curb the business cameras may not have seen her, i.e. if they are directed/ angled more toward the center of the road?

Where are all these people who have LE friends? Ask if there is an APB on all white Z71's. My dad is retired but I know he can call and find out. I haven't seen any of them pulled over but I haven't really been looking either. I was looking for that Olds 98!

My LE friend worked in North Louisiana and was a U.S. Marshall, he has been out of LE for years. I cannot imagine he can make any calls.

I agree, Schmidty....he definitely has reasons to cover up his actions if he did it--if I read correctly, his sentencing for the fatality is coming up soon, so he wouldn't want another fatality to be linked to him.

One thing I've found out while looking into another case - if a person is a contractor and sent out of town to work at a plant, sometimes the company will pay for a motel room for them in the city they are working.

Are there plants or anything like that in Lafayette? If the perp was working in Lafayette and staying there during the week, they would probably know the area fairly well. Maybe they live toward Baton Rouge and dumped the bike as they were going back home?

Are there any cheaper motels in the area where she was last seen?

Yes, if you roll down University there's quite a few.... I surely would not go to them.
