She would have texted them to see if they were there. She wouldn't have just swung by. That's something MY generation might have done, because we didn't have the cell-phones.

how would she text while riding a bike?! I'm sure you could pull it off, but it'd be easier to swing by the place then try to text and ride or stop completely to text...?! Especially at 2a.m. Just a thought :)

Was gone for a few hours, did my best to read everything. When I see the .gif it seems so clear to me that it is her under the truck. But then I think, why would LE release that!? Unless at the time that they released it, they didn't know? But what really bothers me about the .gif that doesn't really let me ignore it is that the front tire of the truck doesn't seem to be connecting to the road??

I keep seeing people mention some gif, can someone esplain, where did it come from....

I've decided to rule out nothing except the hooptie. (I've taken a vow against mentioning any other motor vehicle)

Every single aspect of this case is slightly blurry or mental fractal art.

I do believe somebody - possibly even LE - has the answer and will share it when they're able. That may be never.

I believe Mickey is no longer with us. I hope she is found, but that also may never happen.

I can't rearrange the rubik's cube of this tragedy tonight, so I'm going to bed to read something totally unrelated, listening to the rain fall.

It's two weeks tonight/tomorrow morning since Mickey was last seen.

I plan to mark the hour (1:48 central time) and wish her loved ones comfort and peace.

This case is quickly becoming so frustrating. No more clues, lots of confusion, all of us staring at photos trying to see something....anything....
Someone posted on WS that in Louisiana heat, a body would be skeletonized after 2 weeks.

I am getting so upset that we've had no more leads or info in this case, and I'm no longer sure LE knows much more than we do.

Hi! First post! I'm a local and walk in the st. streets area just about every day. I've participated in one search day and plan to go tomorrow now that I'm off work.

It looks to me like the truck picture does show her getting run over. The darkest shadow by the wheel should be directly underneath it where it's making contact with the ground. That's not the case. The shadow under the front passenger wheel actually has a ring of light around it before the shadow gets dark indicating it's not making direct contact with the ground. If she had her tire turned, do you think she would fall sideways instead of being projected forward? I do. If so, and she got knocked over, then it seems feasible that she could have hit the ground first (possibly her backpack first, making even less noise), then her bike on top of her. If the bike was on top of her, then it seems it would have a better chance of getting caught in the undercarriage. If her backpack was on her, it also could have provided something of a cushion for her. If the funeral home does have video, then it may not even show anything amiss because she'd be part of the dark shadow under the truck. I think that would depend on the angle of the camera. I don't know anything about getting run over by a bike so I'm wondering - is it possible that she could have been dragged a little ways and survived? It seems possible in my mind, but I'm not sure if that's just because I want her to be alive so badly.

I do gobs of photo editing. In photoshop, I used the dodge tool set to 100% on the midtones of the shadow under the truck. Dodging the shadows made a big difference and it is apparent (even showing a portion of a circle that looks like a bike wheel) that something is under the truck. I don't know how to upload an image on here or I'd share!

Agree, I don't think she was ready to call it a night!

Very possible. The bars are closing at that time, but restaurants are open. Or she was going to somebody's house. Girard Park?

I also think the poster Billiam was pretty adamant that the funeral home had cameras. (I have no idea if they do or don't.)

I would be surprised that in this day and age a funeral home would not have cameras. Living people's deceased loved ones are stored there until burial. I wouldn't think any funeral home would want to make the news because of a break in and desecration of the deceased who are in their care.

Hello samsoc, and welcome to WS.

Any new photos of the bridge cam or did it remain frozen all day?

I spoke with one of my best friends who works for mcfh. They don't have cams.

This is what we need. A statement with more than just "LE" as the source. Her friend works at the funeral home. I believe laffytaffy. That's a credible source. For example, I found out today the specific location of the bike. I got it directly from a reporter who was on the scene. That's a source. Why is everyone else believing an unknown post that just says LE? That just sows chaos. I think we need to stick to sourced info.... seems like a more productive - and less migraine-inducing - way to go.

Well somebody new to the forum posted what would seem to be insider information. Video of Mickey further down St. Landry exists that suggests she was heading to Johnston St. If true, that is a HUGE clue.

it is harder to tell by just looking at it... but how i look at them is another way entirely and less visual and cant post it or you wouldn't understand what you were looking at...

it is her

Bringing this over for newcomers.
In Wodalo's opinion.
I also put this link on the MSM links/Timeline thread (link to it is on first post of this one) so if anyone wants to view it and can't remember where it was, it's on that one too.
