Exactly! I don't think most people read the "disclaimer" and just take everything as fact. Its frustrating. :banghead:

ETA- heck I popped in yesterday and thought LE had released a map.

I asked before but no one would answer... is anyone verified on this thread?

A couple days ago a mod popped on and said we had NO verified posters. But ACI says he is now, and a mod yesterday said they were in the process of verifying several more.

eta: See below for mod's answer.

I think we are looking at two black people in this truck. Male driver. Not sure about passenger. Can LE see this more clearly than we can? if so, how?

Yes, they sent video out to get clearer views. You have to remember they have video. We have a blurred frame. They have lots of video for comparison and know much much more than they are releasing to the public. It's their job.

My opinions only, no facts here:

Cynicism does not constitute an investigative tool. Cynicism wastes valuable energy that can be expended trying to SOLVE a mystery. And this case is a mystery.

Here at Websleuths, we all try to help each other as a constituted TEAM to uncover possible solutions to a crime. Every thought presented in this thread is of possible value. I carefully read and think about every post from my fellow sleuths. Because our collective wisdom trumps the whims of one.

Think about it my friend. We have a potential smash-and-grab and a damaged bicycle. There is a former solved case in Hawaii that is somewhat similar to this one. Are you aware of it? Read about the Dana Ireland case and rise up my good buddy. In cases like this, the damaged bike is left behind but the victim is kidnapped (usually injured) and taken elsewhere. For all we know, the victim still lives! This is not a game for the Websleuths team. There is a life at stake, partner.

I'm not sure it's teasing or cynicism.

I agree with your point.

The medical system likes to think it knows who all the psychos are 'in their catchment area'; I have had friends 5 minutes away from getting killed (when coworkers were) by people the system 'should have known about'. For this reason alone, I want to say it is not a local who did this.

If the medical system is working with law enforcement and they still have no clue 3 weeks later, ladies and gentleman, we must have a PERP who learned about parkside via google (or being shown by local connections).

In this day and age, it is scary to me to think that we have PERPS using google to plan situations.

What does verified mean? a local with knowledge? I could be too.

Locals who are describing the area or are members of the gyms and that sort of thing do not need to be verified.

We only verify people who know the players or have been named in the media, etc. This does not include people who may befriend a player on internet social media and then wish to post about it.

What in the world does the medical system have to do with this??

From the very poor quality pics that were released of the VOI I realllly don't think we can say if the occupants are black or Muslim, or a black woman pretending to be Muslim. Just as we are not allowed to talk about rumors already going around, we definitely shouldn't be creating any new ones. We need to focus on what we CAN see.

Let today be the day!

Amen.

With the amount of pixelation and the lack of detail available to any forensic person, I dont even know where to start...... the pixelation is too great to differentiate Christians and Muslims.

OT: Can I please say something? Please be careful about putting your routine or places you go to often on here as you really do not know who reads here.

I've posted on a case before at another site and the perp was posting as well.

Be very careful about giving out personal information about your day-to-day routines.

I am not trying to be a mother hen :)

Maybe, when all is said and done, we cannot save that life, but just maybe we can help with the following justice.

Sleuth on!
Thank you for sharing the Dana Ireland case with me. I did read up on it. I cannot believe that paramedics would not be carrying a first aid kit or that it would take 2 hrs for ambulances to drive out there. We need more ambulances in this world folks; or is that all about $$ and zip code status too?

So after reading and reading I have finally decided to post my opinion and ask a few questions.
1. When did the college let out for the summer?
2. Has her classmates been looked at.

I ask about the classmates because I could see a fellow student who she has had classes with being attracted to MS but has kept his feeling to himself. He isn’t in her tight group of friends but keeps himself close to her but not to close so not to be obvious. IMO this person doesn’t necessarily live full time in Lafayette but goes to school there so is familiar with the area. This person has followed her before and watches her. But again he keeps himself more or less invisible to her. He is not happy that she is moving to NO not because she is moving with BW but because he will not see her anymore.

3. Were there any classmates at the bar that night? Or even out the night before when MS was out?

Keep up the great work…And I pray that we find her soon and that she is okay.
I think classes ended on May6th.

Anytime I look up close up pics I get freaked out. I do see a hoodie being worn in the passenger side. And I am not sure if this has been pointed out, but ET seems to be riding in the back.
I am pretty sure I mention this before, on another case. But I stared so hard at my daughters u/s that I started seeing faces everywhere. I was so scared I googled it and its quite common in pics. lol

Zoomed in on LE released video shot http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c49/mahouston69/c0d02746.jpg

Zoomed in on 'enhanced' video shot.

The fact is we don't know who has her or where. Yes, let today be the day we do.
I am shivering right now. Do you really not see what I see? In the second picture, it is so OBVIOUS there is a HIJAB on the passenger and she looks female! The man in the driver side is male black. I think we have a man and a woman here; or a passenger that is pretending to be a woman.

LOL. I also see ET or else a big huge alaskan huskie. BTWay, I have seen those dogs in the Girard park down here. Even though this is a temperate climate, dogs that should be up north are seen down here.

If you stare at a picture long enough, you'll see what you want to see.

Its become almost impossible to determine what is fact, rumor, "local knowledge", or doctored maps and pics around here.

I want Mickey to come home as much as anyone, but I don't see how knowing where every camera is and the exact placement of her bike is going to help. I just don't. Sorry.

(I'm not directing this at anyone, its just what I've been thinking everytime I read this thread lately)

Knowing which camera may have caught her helps decide which streets to look down. Knowing which streets to look down helps decide which perps may have learned her route. Knowing which perps may have learned her route may lead to Mickey.

It seems tedious, but there's a method to the madness....
