Wife of missing Ga. man 'praying for a miracle' after Baton Rouge disappearance
His wife said she reviewed one video from the greyhound station and a black male used NM bank card to withdrawal money. She said that’s all the video she’s been able to see so far and he’s still missing
So how was the male able to make a debit card withdrawl? That would indicate he obtained Nathan's pin number. We've seen that in other cases, the victim gives the information under duress.

When I read his wife "froze" his card, I thought that was a big mistake. That's a lost opportunity to catch the man and maybe find Nathan :(

I don’t know. She didn’t say in the interview.

My thoughts go out to his family as they continue the search. Happy's Irish Pub · 136 3rd St, Baton Rouge, LA 70801
I have been to this area on several occasions to visit the USS Kidd museum ship (very well preserved WWII destroyer lovingly maintained by an army of volunteers) and the parks around the State house.

History aside, my very general impression of the area is mixed.

I would not want a daughter walking the area alone at night. Yet, for a male with a clear destination and not say, loitering at 2:00 am, the area seemed safe.

Likewise, I had a feeling that a nearby residential area was on an upswing as it was close to down town and smaller homes with a historical flair were becoming trendy.

I had the same thought about the PIN. It shows that this has to be more than someone finding a wallet. The thing about Baton Rouge, especially at night… crime is rampant, and hiding a body is not going to be high on the list of priorities for the bad guys.

I can’t help but to wonder if maybe this is a case of him wanting to fall off the grid… cash withdrawal by “someone else” —possibility of this person being a random offered $20 to make a withdrawal while Nathan stood out of sight of an ATM camera? Same person purchased a bus ticket for him to get outta dodge?

Things I want to know:
-What’s on his cell phone? Recent texts/calls to anyone not his wife?
-Bus station must have cameras… who purchased the ticket? What was the destination? Did that person board the bus? Did that person make it to the destination? Have we talked with the bus driver to see if they remember anything out of the ordinary?
-A cursory review of the family’s finances. Debt? Recent life insurance changes or policy purchases? Has there been a siphoning of cash over a period of time? The money tells so much if there’s something hinky going on and is a good way to rule out any kind of financial conspiracy.

If someone wanted to disappear, using our beloved Baton Rouge and its out of control crime and overwhelmed law enforcement resources would be a great place to start.
Welcome and excellent post. BBM
I have been wondering why if the intent was to rob NM he hasn't been found either injured or deceased. Like you said why go to the trouble of hiding a body. But reading your post opens up the possibility of a planned disappearance. Just a few years ago a friend of my husband was in town to visit. We had known him and his wife for 15 years. He missed several planned outings and it turns out he was meeting up with a woman he had connected with online.

The pictures, shared by the Texas EquuSearch, mark one of the last sightings of 42-year-old Nathan Millard, who disappeared on Feb. 22.

Amber Millard said that her husband's phone was found four blocks away from his hotel, the Courtyard by Marriott. She said there was a video—yet to be released by authorities—that showed someone using Nathan Millard's bank card at a bus station less than a mile from the hotel.

Interesting that the client went to the police 1 hour after NM was supposed to meet him at 8am. I would have probably thought NM may have had too much to drink and overslept.
he went to the hotel first and ask them to do a well check.

I wonder if those pictures were from earlier or if they mean he did infact make it back to his hotel after happy's. This makes sense to me as I don't see someone accosting him on that short one block walk since it wasn't just a quick hit since no body laying in the street.

Glad they have his phone. I suspect this might have been some sort of honey pot situation. Especially if its true they had his pin number and were somehow able to dispose of the body. It would have had to have been something behind a mugging gone bad.

Newly released pictures show missing man in downtown BR before his disappearance

Millard went with a client to Happy's Irish Pub on 3rd Street, where sources say a worker later cut him off because he had too much to drink. He left for the hotel around 11:30 p.m. while his client stayed behind to close out his tab at the bar.

His phone and wallet were apparently found several blocks away, but Millard has not been seen since, a source close to the family said.

Sources also tell WBRZ that a homeless man was caught on camera using Millard's credit card at a Greyhound bus station in Baton Rouge sometime after that, but that person has since been questioned by law enforcement and released.

It sounds like police don't think the man who found and used (or tried to use? It still isn't clear if any of the transactions were successfully completed) Nathan's debit card doesn't have any connection to his disappearance. Unless the homeless man had Nathan's PIN, it seems more likely that he just found the card on the ground and decided to try and use it.

The part about Nathan being intoxicated enough that the bartender at Happy's cut him off brings me back to the 'work site' (which I assume means a construction site) where his phone was found. Was the work site secure (i.e., fenced in) or would it be possible for someone to sneak in? If it was the same site he was in town to work on, did he have a key/code to get into the site? Construction sites are dangerous as it is, let alone when an intoxicated person is exploring it in the dark.

While I was doing errands, I was thinking of this case, and the question regarding the debit card pin # stuck with me, So I thought maybe there was an attempt to use the debit card and the person didn't actually get $ which I would think would show on NM's debit history however I went back and reread and it said "transaction" so maybe I'm wrong on that. Now that I'm reading it was a homeless person who used the card it makes me think he could have been mugged especially if he was intoxicated and that person (s) took his wallet, phone and dumped them and the homeless person found the wallet. Have they checked garbage dumpsters ( sad to even type that). A head injury could have confused him on which way to get to the hotel so he wandered. I'm just trying to to think of possibilities. All IMO

I immediately thought of water as well. The phone and wallet being found (in separate locations yeah?) adds a twist.

-"His credit card was used at least twice, once I believe it was an ATM. I've heard there's video of a man using it and it isn't Nathan. The second time was at a Greyhound station. Also, his wallet clip was found with his American Express, but no ID," said Still.
