''HOUSTON (KIAH) — The FBI and Harris County authorities are investigating a storage facility in north Houston that is reportedly tied to the suspect in the New Orleans terrorist attack.

The FBI Houston office, along with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office were seen at the Sparebox Storage facility at 11966 Walters Road. Firefighters, EMS and law enforcement tactical units were targeting at least one storage facility in the complex.

The storage facility is one mile away from the residence of the suspect, Shamsud-din Jabbar.''

Hope they're ultra-careful.
I wouldn't put it past SDJ to have rigged it with explosives.
My guess at this time is that he acted alone.
But we shall see.
Omo.

i couldn't figure out how to link to the previous thread post of this.

The chart says SDJ crossed into Louisiana at 2:30PM December 31st and was seen in Gonzales at 9:00PM. It wouldn't have taken him 6 1/2 hours to get to Gonzales. He must have done something else in Louisiana besides buying gun oil at a store.

@Chimera bringing your post over from the previous thread. Even worse they have known this for at least 5 years.

This is the struggle for NO residents. The administration should have established a permanent solution. In this case, as soon as they determined that whatever was ordered was inferior they should have used common sense to continue the process through to completion.

Since they came up bust, a temporary plan could have easily been put in motion to protect the people. Yet NYE and the Sugar Bowl didn’t motivate them to enact a plan. Why?

“Re. the bolded ; 'Funding' (or the lack thereof) and 'risk assessment' should not prevent the necessity of keeping people safe.
They could enact it in a simpler & temporary -- yet cost effective -- way by parking sanitation trucks at all street entrances and have people park outside the perimeter and walk.
Anything would be better than flimsy barriers that are easily bypassed.
Just my .02”

Abdur-Rahim Jabbar recalled, and he had some tattoos removed.

“He said they also asked about his brother's demeanor and personality, and if his behavior had changed recently.”

“As horrible as it is that he killed and injured all of these people, it could have been exponentially worse in the truest sense of the term had these devices actually functioned,” said Scott Sweetow, a retired executive with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and former director of the FBI’s Terrorist Explosive Device Analytical Center. “You’d be looking at literally hundreds of casualties.”

A bomb made with RDX going off in a tourist section of New Orleans would be the equivalent of multiple hand grenades thrown into a crowded street, Sweetow said.

RDX is not easy to obtain in the United States. A military-grade explosive, it’s also used for specialized purposes by demolition and mining companies and can only be purchased with a federal license.

According to his brother, Jack Bech, the FBI called their family to let them know Tiger pushed a girl out of the way of the suspect's truck before his death.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE/Gray News) - Seven victims of the New Year’s Day terror attack on Bourbon Street have filed a lawsuit.

The lawsuit is against the city of New Orleans, Hard Rock Construction and engineering firm Mott MacDonald, LLC, alleging negligence in security measures that could have prevented the tragedy.

According to the lawsuit, the city and contractors failed to act on years of warnings about vulnerabilities to vehicle attacks in the French Quarter.

The plaintiffs argue that the defendants failed to adequately protect one of the city’s most crowded and iconic areas from a vehicle ramming attack.

Was there a shot or explosion in the airbag area of the vehicle?
Is the camera obstruction intentional?

Jabbar then shoots from behind an airbag at close range and the flash of the muzzle is visible. Robles and at least two unidentified officers turn, run a few steps away and dive onto the ground as a succession of shots rings out.

New Orleans ISIS terrorist Shamsud-Din Jabbar had researched online what kind of car was used in a deadly German Christmas market attack — just hours before carrying out his well-planned New Year’s Day onslaught, the FBI said Tuesday.

Jabbar also searched for past shootings in New Orleans, the city’s Mardi Gras celebration and even how to access a balcony on the famed Bourbon Street, according to an initial review of his devices.

Some of the recon searches that Jabbar conducted date back to mid-November, investigators said.
