The strike appeared to be intentional, police said (to) ABC News, adding the driver had not been taken into custody.

What does that mean? “ not been taken into custody”? Did he escape and they can’t find him or is he among the dead?

It’s scary how often cars are used as a weapon. Recently in Germany during Christmas market and now again on NYE.

I watched the video and the newscaster said the suspect is "at large". So, not dead.

Multiple witnesses told CBS News that the driver jumped out of the vehicle and immediately started shooting after plowing into the large crowd.
