Idk, I’m kind of having trouble believing that? I trust that they found that he didn’t plan an attack on Tampa. But that doesn’t mean he didn’t go to Tampa with the intent to scope it out! MOO, I find it difficult to imagine that while he is going to New Orleans to scope out a potential attack location, he goes to Tampa months later just to hang out?

New Orleans ISIS terrorist Shamsud-Din Jabbar had researched online what kind of car was used in a deadly German Christmas market attack — just hours before carrying out his well-planned New Year’s Day onslaught, the FBI said Tuesday.

Jabbar also searched for past shootings in New Orleans, the city’s Mardi Gras celebration and even how to access a balcony on the famed Bourbon Street, according to an initial review of his devices.

Some of the recon searches that Jabbar conducted date back to mid-November, investigators said.

This is the first time I have read confirmation on opening a cooler. I previously read “moved”. The FBI provided a photo of the inside of the cooler. It struck me, I can’t imagine opening a cooler, seeing something inside like this and not immediately calling 911, or thinking this is very abnormal. JMO

A man associated with the terrorist organization ISIS has been arrested in connection with the New Year’s Day attack in New Orleans that killed 14 people.

The Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq said they have arrested “a person involved in inciting the car-ramming incident.” That person, who has not been named, will stand trial under the nation’s counter-terrorism law.

Following a request from the U.S. for assistance in the investigation, Iraq’s Supreme Judicial Council said the individual “was arrested for inciting the Jan. 2025 truck attack in the United States," according to Al Arabiya News, a Saudi state-owned international Arabic news channel.

The unnamed suspect is “a member of the external operations office of the Daesh terrorist organization" — the Arabic acronym for the Islamic State group known ISIS. Authorities said the suspect will be prosecuted in Iraq under the country’s anti-terrorism laws.

Iraq detains Islamic State suspect accused of helping to incite New Orleans truck ramming attack

Iraqi authorities say they have detained an official with the Islamic State group involved in inciting an attack in the United States that left more than a dozen people dead.

Iraqi officials said that Baghdad’s Al-Karkh Investigative Court specified the suspect who was later detained and turned out to be a member of the Islamic State group’s foreign operations office.

The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity in line with regulations, did not release the name of the suspect, only saying that he is an Iraqi citizen. The officials said the man will be put on trial in accordance with the country’s anti-terrorism law, adding that Iraq is committed to international cooperation in fighting terrorism.
