SMH. One line from the Fox News article cited above is quite upsetting: "Overby is believed to be in grave danger."

Hoping for good news soon.

Missing since 3:30 PM today.

I only see one Taco Casa in Lancaster, which appears to be about a 6 1/2 mile drive from the location listed by the police as her last one: 1300 E Parkerville Rd, DeSoto, TX 75115.

The restaurant is part of a gas station there. A lot of Dallas drivers have dash cams - I'm thinking that if the man was panhandling there, it's likely a good clear shot of his face is going to be captured by someone.

And people wonder why women will not stop and help someone. I hope she is found soon. My question, if he was really homeless, did he kidnap her in her own car? I cannot get the above link to work.

It doesn't say how he abducted her

How frightening! She was doing a good deed. Praying that she'll be found safely.

DESOTO, Texas (KWTX) - The DeSoto Police Department are investigating the kidnapping of a 37-year-old woman.

Lacey Lyn Overby was last seen at around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon near the 1300 block of East Parkerville Road.

Police say, Lacey was at the Taco Casa purchasing a meal for a homeless male in Lancaster, Texas. The homeless male is now considered a suspect.

He is described as a Hispanic male, around the age of 25-35 years-old, bald, he was last seen wearing a blue and white plaid shirt.

Overby was last known to be in her vehicle, a 2015 Silver Chevy Malibu bearing a Texas license plate of KDY7339, and was last seen wearing black scrubs with her hair in a ponytail.

Police stated it is unknown if any weapons are involved.

I wish they'd do a press conference with something more, (such as where that last address came from).
Google maps is showing a cemetery there, a car repair place, and a car title loan place.

He may have asked her to take him to a homeless shelter or a church with homeless resources somewhere in the area, to get her to allow him into the car.

From the comments on the Desoto Police post, made by Desoto police:
DeSoto Police Department
We made several attempts to ask OnStar to track the vehicle. They claim they can’t track a vehicle without it being activated from the vehicle first. Unfortunately, there’s no way to activate a subscription without pressing the little logo in the vehicle first.

Is what they claim.

I would say yes since they put up a description of her car on the poster.

Her FB indicates she makes and sells baked items to raise money to help the homeless.

I'd imagine that made her more likely to stop and help, and as someone guessed above, maybe even voluntarily choose to drive someone feeling like she was helping.

So was he outside the gas station just hanging around?

Located safe in Laredo Texas, according to Desoto PD post. This is a 7+ hour drive, and on the border with Mexico.
