Do we know if the search is going on today Sun) and holiday (tomorrow)????

IDK, there has been no official media for two days now, and I don't expect tomorrow to be much better.

I hate this silence. I understand there is more going on, but it feels like my head is hitting a brick wall...I want to hear that things are still being done. :(

When they are saying "all of his personal things">> I think we can reasonably assume that is just what they mean...the ONLY thing missing is the green bag

they have pictures of Gabe in the hotel room....his blanket/s, his clothes, his bottles, diapers, his blinkie etc...all left behind?? that is what I think they mean....that is what they are saying. To me it is one more reason to think that this is NOT going to have a happy ending
And sadly another reason why I think the landfill search should've started earlier. MOO

I did think the worst when I read this. I will dread tomorrows news, in case they stopped digging because they found what they were looking for.

I remember reading that they go by newspapers they find to determine when they've reached the point of interest...I hope that's all it means...

I have a sick feeling and can only imagine what Gabriel's family is feeling tonight. Please let this search find nothing but evidence to find Gabriel alive. I'm going to be afraid to check the news tomorrow. When I read the article above, I just got that they stopped digging because they reached the hotels trash. If they found anything else or if the dogs hit on anything I don't think the Cheif would again say he hopes to find Gabriel alive.

Digging complete, now SAPD set to sift through trash in search of Baby Gabriel
Posted on February 17, 2010 at 5:59 PM
Updated today at 6:13 PM

The San Antonio Police Department is set to begin phase two of the landfill search for missing Baby Gabriel.

The dig is complete, and now the actually physical search is set to begin.

SAPD have set up a command post at the site. It's the white truck along with the yellow tent.

Starting Thursday at 7:30 a.m. the San Antonio Police Department is ready to begin sifting through layers of trash in search for possible evidence. in the case.

The police chief has said this will be a very tedious process as the trash will be spread out into rows, and officers will literally walk down that row and go through each and every piece of garbage.

This process could take days -- even weeks.

The FBI will also have officers at the landfill Thursday, helping with the search.

Woman who wanted to adopt Baby Gabriel due in court, second phase of Texas landill search to begin

Posted on February 18, 2010 at 7:16 AM

Searchers are looking for a specific item -- a diaper bag.

Baby Gabriel was last seen with his mother, Elizabeth Johnson, shortly after Christmas at a San Antonio hotel. The diaper bag was the only thing missing from the room when police searched it.

That must mean there is a suitcase missing also. Interesting! Maybe she had a suitcase when she checked in.
If she had a suitcase and did not just leave it in the room, like everything else, then she tossed it and the contents for a reason.

Small suitcase could hold a laptop?? :waitasec:

Or it's bad reporting and there's no suitcase missing.

Could someone please put up the email addy for the reporter on the suitcase story? It can be found here: http://www.kens5.com/on-tv/bios/66911907.html

I can't get it to load because I don't have Microsoft handling my email.

I'm assuming sloppy reporting on that suit case. It's like he was blindly trying to explain to the viewers what a diaper bag looked like...and obviously it doesn't look like a suitcase. I bet that reporter have never seen the photos of the bag in the hotel room photos. MOO.
