Yes, I agree. But that is not what the point of my statement was in reference. It was in reference to the poster who stated that the Anthony's have not even shown a "token effort" to look for the killer.

One of the good things about Websleuths IS all the differing opinions! I personally feel that if there is a killer running loose, it is a MAJOR problem and should be addressed immediately (if LE believed this to be the case, I am quite sure it would be plastered across the news). I certainly respect that a grieving family may not be able to think straight, let alone attempt to worry about finding a killer but in this case:
1) IMO, they knew long before a body was recovered that Caylee was not coming back (end of July / early August)
2) GA just gave an interview to Fox News in the last couple days (a "non-recorded" interview, that is. How did his brain function enough to say he missed Casey but NOT that Caylee's killer should be brought to justice?

Usually I am a very compassionate person, but I cannot be compassionate in this case. I am infuriated.
I am so very glad there will be no 'on-camera' interviews so to speak. That will not last long, I bet. There should not be any TV or in print interviews with major witnesses in this case, IMO. I agree with family interviews with victims families if there is not a shadow of any suspicion hanging over them and no lying or coverups.
I have no sympathy for George, Cindy, or Lee because of their words and actions. George wanted to be buddies with LE because of his 10 years in LE. He had been out of LE for so long he did not realize that just about everything had changed. LE is not doing investigations the 'old fashioned' way. Information can be gleaned from many more sources that was not available then. There were no cell phones and pings to trace. Computers were dinosaurs used in big businesses. As computers evolved and just about everyone had a PC, Le and FBI could trace a persons 'footprints' on PC's and glean valuable information from them. DNA research had not yet evolved to the point it is today! George wanted an inside tract and knowledge and just did not get it, IMO.
I think the whole Anthony family have thought they were above the law and could snow LE and the FBI. I think the Anthony's underestimated them. They lied and they covered for Casey. They benefited and profited on their missing and murdered grandchild and pushed her to the back burner.
I do not want to hear or see another interview from anyone in the Anthony family. I want the focus to be back on Caylee and justice for her. I think they are even right now trying to think of a way to make the most of people's sympathy in the loss of their grandchild and neice. They may get lots of sympathy, but not from me. You do not ask for full immunity when you have done nothing wrong.
I want anyone who played a part in this whole cover up, or whatever anyone wants to call it, to pay for it. My only sympathy is with the real victim - little Caylee.

So, an 'off camera interview' to say that there will be no 'on camera' interviews is just more Anthony spin and a bid for more sympathy. I think the Anthony's are afraid that LE is going to come down hard on them for any wrongdoing after Caylee's funeral/Memorial Service, and it is advantageous of them to put it off as long as possible.

All of the above is just my opinion alone, and is exactly how I feel! ..........

No, it's not just your opinion, I feel exactly the same way.

What would please you? For them to come out and publicly state their daughter is scum? A killer? This is a lot for them to absorb. I can't imagine they are able to get through this without being sedated! They have to be going through every single emotion at the same time from grief, pain, guilt, sadness, longing, anger, confusion, embarasment, humiliation,heartbroken,....just to name a few. Can you imagine? Yes, they deserve a break. They are victims in this. Much as many would like to hypothesize that they covered up a crime...there is no proof of that and not even circumstantial evidence of such. So people don't like the way they have dealt with this? We can only assume and state what we would do...but until we have been there (and God I hope none of us ever will be)...we really can't say without a doubt how we would act and feel under the same circumstance as they.

Well, just speaking for myself of course, but that would pretty much please the h*ll out of me. Then if they could possibly just tell the truth about everything they know, I'd pretty much be tickled pink.

Speaking of a funeral...what are they waiting for??? The remains have been in the mortuary for over a week. Whats the hold up on this autopsy??? I think thats terrible that the defense doesn't get a move on it and lay this baby to rest. Just what type of autopsy can they do anyway???

I agree. "Autopsy" is a misnomer in this case, I have heard Dr Perper state more than once. There is nothing to autopsy, just some skeletal remains.

Great point!! It is these little details that are SO telling and provide real clues to guilt or innocence. They are hard to think on about and fake.

This isn't about "pleasing" me. I'm just stating my strong feelings as you are. It's all good to differ. There's no requirement that we agree on how people should act. This forum would not exist if we had no opinions. Wishing you the best, I appreciate the opportunity to express my frustration with the family while I respect the same for you.

Did you ever get the impression that George had lots of gas cans? I'm trying to remember the video showing the inside of the shed.
Me, I have only one.

LOL we have 6 5gallon cans, 1 2 1/2 gallon, 1 1 gallon and they are full, ready for the future. LOL

Shanna, I just got to experience 6 days of no electricity here in NH 2 weeks ago with the ice storms. Thank goodness by day 4 hubby bought a generator and thank goodness for all the gas we were lucky to have to keep it running!

Glad you were able to find the gas you needed!:blowkiss: It is rough going for so many days with no electricity - I'd definitely not wish that on anyone! We are pretty used to it happening annually (at the very least) so we've learned to be prepared - start stocking up mid August as hurricane season begins to roll around. Most times, you can't even leave the area (fallen trees & debris) to even get to a gas station. People here would find it odd NOT to have numerous gas cans in our neck o' the woods LOL!

No, they're just bumping the thread up IN CASE there is some "breaking news".

Thanks, RR0004! Startled me for a moment!

(maybe we will get another document dump next week)

LMAO, Momto5....I am still laughing at the way you worded that! :biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh:

Yeah, but I'll wager you have some duct tape.

I just read on another thread that the car was picked up around 4, if that's the case, Cindy started trying to reach Casey almost immediately.

It was around 2:00 if not before. and I don't have a link just a good memory.

I'd never heard that...can you direct me, please?

IIRC Simon Birch stated that George went in the morning to pick up the car but left to get cash that Johnson's Towing required to release the car. He and Cindy returned to Johnson's Towing together some time in the early afternoon of 7/15.

Johnson's towing is what I am sure you meant to say. Amscot is where the car was towed from.

Hi, shannahg! I am in North Louisiana. We have the pleasure of the South Louisiana visitors to our city when a hurricane 'is acoming'! We love you all! I have also lost power due to the backlash storms!
:blowkiss:

I have 3 gas cans. One for the riding lawn mower, one for the 4 wheeler, and one for the Harley (my brothers). So there are 3 five gallon gas cans in the shop in the back.
There is also a generator for the ice storms we might have every 5 years or so!

I'm sure all will be told soon enough. The trial should be around the corner.

Perhaps this is the defense's new strategy. Prolong the inevitable? Photoshop some still pictures taken of the area in question to show what might be a zanny sighting?

LOL, if we ever hear their 'truth', how will we recognize it? It reminds me of the little boy who cried 'Wolf!'! How would we know if there really is a wolf this time when they are supposedly telling the truth?
