I honestly do not see how any parent could be in their right mind, if they had to live the same nightmare that KC has put GA through. That huge hole in his heart that he talks about in his interview wasn't once filled with just little Caylee, it was also filled with KC, Lee, and even Cindy...Yes! I believe that he absolutely loved his family despite the obvious problems within their family dynamic. I believe he knew from day 1 that something horrible happened to little Caylee, and he would never see her alive again. As the days moved forward, he then knew that KC was responsible....he has now lost the daughter he once knew. It's one thing to know that your kid is irresponsible, lazy, and has their priorities screwed up..I'm sorry but I know a lot of young people who behave just like KC did, before she took her daughters life. All you have to do is look around and pay attention, you will also see the same behavior displayed by young people around you...they are everywhere. GA knew KC needed to straighten up, grow up and become a responsible adult, and was obviously willing to live with that until she did. In the mean time, he made sure that little Caylee was properly taken care of. Caylee looked like a normal, healthy, happy, well taken care of little angel, they did a good job. Despite KC's behavior, I don't think GA could even imagine that she would purposely hurt Caylee in any way, shape or form, before this happened. That poor man has been secretly grieving for his grandbaby and his daughter, he knew he lost them both. He will never see the daughter he thought KC was ever again..In his mind, that KC is also gone. Add in the fact that he has been trying to keep this all in, and walk on egg shells around Cindy to appease her, because she is all he has left, other than Lee. GA knew that when CA found out the truth about Caylee, he was going to lose her too...she will never be the same. This is why I believe that GA may have behaved in such strange manners to us at times..he knew it was only a matter of time before he would lose them all. He was trying to hold onto what little he had left, for as long as he could, while dealing with his own grief. The man looked so broken from the get go, I honestly don't think he was in his right mind to do exactly the right thing, even though deep down he wanted to. That hole in his heart just kept getting bigger and bigger, and there was nobody for him to turn to, to fix it IMO.

knock it off
take the incest conversation to the parking lot. This has been made clear over and over.

Hi JBean,

For better or worse, my post started that conversation on this thread - apologies for the sidetrack. The other few threads on this topic that came up in the Search results appear to be locked. Will you please tell me how to find the "parking lot"? (Still a newbie!:blushing:)

Yeah, I'm worried about this, too. My concern is that if she gets convicted she'll live out her days in protective custody. Perish the thought!

I want to know why she has not been to court on her original charges...she would then go off to prison. :behindbar

In state prison, protective custody is really difficult. For all intentional purposes ...it is solitary confinement. She would hate it.

Baez is protecting the little princess. He is stalling the previous charges, so she can sit in her cubicle by the staff. Heck, by now, she probably thinks she is just like staff.

This matter really rubs me wrong. There should be public outcry for her to be brought up on the charges of last July. :furious:

To stay on topic: I am glad GA is speaking instead of any other family member.

Bolded by me - that is quite a stretch!

If this thread is going the way of incest - it belongs in the rumor thread - not here

Sorry but we have absolutely zero information on this - nothing substantiates it, and there is NO proof

Some people who are quick to call Casey a pathological liar want to believe this lie that came from her mouth.

I don't think the incest happened- it was yet another lie from a psychopath.

I am with you on this one, Whisperer. I have always thought it unfair that the check charges would wait until after the murder trial. Casey should go to trial NOW on the check charges and then she would be going into the murder trial a convicted criminal. She could await her murder trial sitting in prison where a criminal like she belongs! Bet Mr. Baez would not get to visit her everyday and at all hours of the night in prison! County jail is a tea party compared to prison.

And for me to stay on topic also: George should have done the speaking for he, Cindy, and Lee from the beginning, IMO. But no, we had to listen to Cindy. George knows he cannot outsmart LE and the FBI. He just needs to tell what he knows right now. He knew better than to lie and try to coverup to begin with. JMO

<<So Lee is back home, I can understand that>>

I know I'm being nosy here by making this statement, but LA probably moved back home to help with the bills now that they have a funeral to pay for. The whole thing is just sad. Also, I seriously doubt Casey would let them visit her. I guarantee it's going to be really hard for her to face them now.

They have already said they will use funds donated to search for Caylee to pay for the funeral.

I am new to posting here, so I hope I am doing this right. IMO, George has always known, but continues to fill his role in the family which seems to be 'peacekeeper' most likely between CA and KC. The role of peacekeeper often requires denial in an extremely dysfunctional family. I have also wondered if he is controlling his wording and actions to sort of manage, for lack of a better word, CA's fragile state of m.h., her deep, deep, deep denial, etc..

Welcome to WS

If you go back to the main index page and scroll down nearer the bottom of the page you will find a section called Private Forums. The Jury Room and the Parking Lot threads are members only threads. The Jury Room is for members to talk about a lot of off topic (fun and/or informative) stuff. The Parking Lot is where the more controversial stuff is found.

Maybe it's just me but I find this to be unacceptable. It sould be forwarded/donated to another missing childs fund IMO. Am I alone in this thought or am I just whacked?!

Anyways GA does seem to be the most level headed of all of the A's.

<<They have already said they will use funds donated to search for Caylee to pay for the funeral>>

I read they were giving the funds to a missing children's foundation, not using them for the funeral. This came out when the rumor started about the A's asking for donations for the funeral.

Off Topic: They changed their minds, but they did initially do this:

WFTV-Channel 9 reported Monday that the grandparents were seeking donations to bury Caylee. WFTV repeated the story Tuesday morning.

In an update at noon Tuesday, reporter Mary Nguyen explained the change. On Monday, Conway said the family was setting up a trust fund for public donations, she said.

"Since that story has aired, there has been a huge backlash on several Web sites," Nguyen said. "Now the Anthonys say they won't be accepting any money for Caylee's funeral arrangements. Conway said they were initially setting up the trust fund because a lot of people offered to donate money, but because there would be a public misperception about the fund, they have changed their mind."

Back On Topic: Why doesn't George blast the defense for holding up having a funeral for Caylee?! I would be screaming at the top of my lungs and making them allow me to lay my granddaughter to rest! Why isn't he doing something about it?!

They said they would use the funds to pay for the funeral and donate the rest to an unnamed missing children's group.

George is a better spokesman. Period.

Is Lee still working? Frankly, I am surprised he ever moved out of the house. Another co-dependent returns to the fold.

Link please...I've only heard them say the opposite since the bond hearing.

It's quite possible when I read this I assumed it was law enforcement who responded that they fully cooperated. I will research a bit more. For now, what I did read was a statement by their attorney:
(CBS/AP) The grandparents of Caylee Anthony, the 3-year-old Florida girl found dead last week after being missing since June, do not expect to be charged by authorities despite having several search warrants executed at their home, the family's lawyer said Monday.

Casey Anthony, the couple's 22-year-old daughter and Caylee's mother, faces first-degree murder charges. Police searched the Anthony's home Saturday for the third time since the investigation into the toddler's disappearance began, but defense attorney Brad Conway said he's been told by the state attorney and the Orange County Sheriff's office that no charges against Cindy and George Anthony are planned.
"They have done absolutely nothing wrong. The Anthony's cooperated fully from the beginning. In fact, they gave evidence before any warrants were ever issued or signed by a judge," Conway said on CBS' The Early Show.
