I honestly do not see how any parent could be in their right mind, if they had to live the same nightmare that KC has put GA through. That huge hole in his heart that he talks about in his interview wasn't once filled with just little Caylee, it was also filled with KC, Lee, and even Cindy...Yes! I believe that he absolutely loved his family despite the obvious problems within their family dynamic. I believe he knew from day 1 that something horrible happened to little Caylee, and he would never see her alive again. As the days moved forward, he then knew that KC was responsible....he has now lost the daughter he once knew. It's one thing to know that your kid is irresponsible, lazy, and has their priorities screwed up..I'm sorry but I know a lot of young people who behave just like KC did, before she took her daughters life. All you have to do is look around and pay attention, you will also see the same behavior displayed by young people around you...they are everywhere. GA knew KC needed to straighten up, grow up and become a responsible adult, and was obviously willing to live with that until she did. In the mean time, he made sure that little Caylee was properly taken care of. Caylee looked like a normal, healthy, happy, well taken care of little angel, they did a good job. Despite KC's behavior, I don't think GA could even imagine that she would purposely hurt Caylee in any way, shape or form, before this happened. That poor man has been secretly grieving for his grandbaby and his daughter, he knew he lost them both. He will never see the daughter he thought KC was ever again..In his mind, that KC is also gone. Add in the fact that he has been trying to keep this all in, and walk on egg shells around Cindy to appease her, because she is all he has left, other than Lee. GA knew that when CA found out the truth about Caylee, he was going to lose her too...she will never be the same. This is why I believe that GA may have behaved in such strange manners to us at times..he knew it was only a matter of time before he would lose them all. He was trying to hold onto what little he had left, for as long as he could, while dealing with his own grief. The man looked so broken from the get go, I honestly don't think he was in his right mind to do exactly the right thing, even though deep down he wanted to. That hole in his heart just kept getting bigger and bigger, and there was nobody for him to turn to, to fix it IMO.
