Everything I've read only speaks to throwing the body in the lake. The RAP mentions you can swim to get it. Maybe sources are getting mixed up?

The Crown's opening mentions that LB's phone went dead, while accompanied by the phones of MS and DM, along their trek that involved Lakeshore.

Its interesting that Lerner paid for a hotel for a couple of days on the 26th, yet she's moving in to the escort agency on the 27th. Just not following this sometimes.

I swear I never heard anything about the body being in the lake. The body was ash on the ground, the phone was in the lake. Am I wrong here?

And he was willing to pay for a longer stay, but a) that hotel was fully booked the following night, and b) SL indicated that LB wanted to be independent and get sorted out on her own.

The Crown now shows us the cell towers Babcock's phone connected with June 28, 2012 to June 30, 2012.

Around this time, Babcock was taken in by Good Samaritan Jessica Trevors, a pastry chef who noticed Babcock sitting on a park bench with a number of suitcases and her little dog Lacey.

We see Babcock's phone as it moves among cell towers up to June 30, 2012. Court heard from Good Samaritan Jessica Trevors, who took her in.

This past week of crown witnesses - no matter how much sex they admitted to or didn't admit to isn't the focus.. These cell pings prove she was exactly where they all said she was... establishes accuracy on the pings..

So it appears that all the testimony of people she saw, and stayed with is now being connected to the movement of her phone. The testimony backs up the phone.

Not arguing that, but rather just saying I have not read anywhere that the phone was thrown into a lake. Just the RAP saying it was in water. I agree, it most likely was thrown with LB's remains, but the RAP mentions the remains are on a "ashey stone".

Like the gun in the TB trial, it may turn out to take up a lot of discussion, and never be solved.

I think there was some online speculation that there would have had to be a disposal plan (shudder) for the remaining bones, teeth that were not fully cremated (which is normal, in the cremation process - items that did not turn to ash with the heat are then ground to dust). That's the only place I can imagine the speculation about the body (or remains, otherwise) ending up in the lake.

I wonder if she could have gotten a refund on the 2nd night and spent or saved the cash.

Now following Babcock's phone on June 30, 2012. Trevors testified she drove Babcock home to Babcock's parents home in Etobicoke.

We're getting closer to July 3, 2012 - when Babcock's phone was used in the same location as Millard and Smich.

It's too bad she doesn't recount those in between times and days for us.....

Maybe depends on the interpretation. Here is one report: "Smich then asked his girlfriend to leave the garage at his mother's home in Oakville, Ont., Liberatore said, and once she left, Smich told his friends that he did, in fact, burn a girl and dump her body and a cellphone in a lake." It has been mentioned a few times in the thread, but it was in the garage when MS told the story at the garage party about how the body and phone ended up in the lake.
