That said, not sure why the crown bothered to call this guy. Are they really surprised by this show?

To show the jury that DM and MS had connection to shady people and that DM (or associates) purchased a gun. Crown is also confirming street lingo that affirms what expert said. But I honestly believe that Big Ish knows what domes are, he’s only confirming what expert has testified o already.

We've seen the texts FFS. We've heard Millard complain that MWJ wasn't answering his texts. We've seen MWJ agree to take the used "Dirty Girl" back and re-purpose it. Is anybody believing one word this guy says?

No, but at least the judge took the opportunity to point out a blatant lie to the jury.

From this angle it looks like they actually managed to slightly weaken their case with the testimony that DM was not seeking a gun, but had one thrust upon him by a man who momentarily lost his bearings and put money before morals. Absurd, but predictable.

This is exactly why you never call a witness when you don't know what they are going to say.

I think this is working in the crown's favour. The Jury has been introduced to the text conversations and their timing prior to MWJ taking the stand. Puts the credibility of everyone who took the stand and played the same type of game as IISH of covering their *** in question.

It sure makes the testimony of SL and others hold more weight. MOO

Agreed, it makes DM MS and Isho all look like liars

Ward-Jackson says the gun was an opportunity he wanted to profit on, not something Millard was waiting to acquire.

hmmmm perhaps he has more then one associate that goes by "Rabbit", maybe one is topping up his Canteen .......

I think Jill made a mistake with Mathew Ward. However, it will be interesting to see what she asks on re exam.

I am pretty sure the jury sees through this guy anyway. I don’t there is a gun collector out there that would buy a gun from
a guy that is tattooed head to toe that they randomly met in a parking lot.

I also don’t know many criminals who try to randomly solicit sales either. Hey I got a gun you want it.

AFAIK none of the text messages with MWJ before June 2012 have been presented in this trial, not even the one where DM asked if his last name was Jackson.

I think the crown is just trying to cut off Millard's options. He's already tried to confuse the matter saying the texts may have been about drugs. Through MM he has put it in the jurors heads that he already owned a gun, thus he shouldn't have been desperate to get one from Ward. Unfortunately for the crown MWJ said he was the instigator of the deal, but I don't think anyone is buying that.

The jury is back, and Millard stands at tall wooden podium for his cross-examination of Ward-Jackson.

Amazing how these people can lie knowing that there is evidence that can't be used.

Was it not mentioned when MM was on the stand for the TB trial, that MS wanted MM to become a stripper like Iish's girl(s) as a source of income?

Millard asks about the gun, how Ward-Jackson said it was kept in a bag.

Ward-Jackson repeats he doesn't know who passed it off to him.

"To my knowledge, it was empty," said Ward-Jackson. No bullets. "I don't even know if it worked."

yep - sure was

Dm was begging MS for isho's #
So this guy wants us to believe that he cold called DM who showed no interest in guns to ask if he wanted one?

At least try something somewhat believable.

Millard asks, "there were requests for ammunition after the sale?"

Ward-Jackson says he doesn't recall. "I never provided ammunition or anything like that," Ward-Jackson says.
by Shannon Martin 4:12 PM

Millard asks about Ward-Jackson's relationship with Smich's sister, "did you ever live in a shed next to that house? In the basement?"

Ward-Jackson says no on both accounts.
