yes, but slightly non-committal.
IMO that depends on how much he is getting paid, he is a hired gun in my opinion at this point.

The book was designed by a zooarchaeologist for non-specialists, Rufalo says. #LauraBabcock

Rufalo explains the differences in the bones that he was using when he made his analysis. Depressions and protrusions. #LauraBabcock

It could be argued that Dr. Rogers has a bit of a bias too however. She had additional knowledge as to the use of the incinerator. And the argument that Dr. Rufolo sees animal bones all day so of course he'll see animal bones here - well, the same could be said of Dr. Rogers about human bones.

Just trying to be fair to the experts.

She is actually an expert in both animal and human.

Wasn't twisting also part of the heat application to the bone?

You can just bring any book in to use as evidence? What if it's a load of baloney?

Hey now, you leave my Flat Earth Reference Manual out of this!

And what about the size of the bones?
That's just it- is he basing his testimony on two blurry photos without factoring the specifications of the eliminator?

Can he tell us how big this deer is? Based on the size, is it consistent with a deer or a 5'10" female? How did he exclude the bones being human?...

With my book on Human Anatomy, I can tell the bones in the incinerator are human bones.

The deer bones appear to be about the size of a 23 year old woman.

lmao

Especially being so tired?

lmao

Well thank GOD they brought the Atlas in, otherwise how would the expert know they weren't human bones.

I'm sorry, I would not be able to testify to this fact unless I was %99.999999 certain, otherwise I would wonder if I helped a very evil person try and get off charges.

Especially being so tired?

Well if he’s hauling all those deer carcasses, that’s why he’s so tired!
Ugh! I feel just awful that LB’s family has to sit through this nonsense and be subjected to the images of what could very well be her remains.
Just disgusting. Also they have to watch and listen to this lunatic go on and on about everything as nothing at the same time.

Thank you to those dedicated to the tweets and updates!! Much appreciated!!

Next he will present something he "saw on the internet"

Rufalo is mostly using shadows to make distinctions between human and animal bones. #LauraBabcock

Millard continues to take the witness through the specifics of the bone, the depressions, etc and the difference between deer and human bones.

And Dr. R.....could you now tell us your experience in examining and identifying bones that have actually been through an incineration process and NOT just been discovered at an archaeological site?

Wikipedia should put this matter to rest.

IMO, it's not that this witness does not deserve our respect for his professional accomplishments in his field(s), but I'm finding it hard to follow this after already hearing from Dr. Rogers. No disrespect to Mr. Rufolo himself or to his career.

Yes, this is so true. Dr. Rogers has a leg up here, being in forensics.
This guy can't testify specifically on remains found at a crime scene, or put through the process of incineration.
I'm sure the crown will cross-examine, and make these things apparent.
