Oh please. Tell me that anyone who saw that truck on June 4th hasn't already come forward???

IMHO, they're opening up the investigation, and looking for someone else, possibly another vehicle. Maybe it's TH's "accomplice" or someone completely unrelated.

I'm sorry, but I wouldn't remember where I parked two months ago. The requests for information are way too specific after this much time has passed. For those people, on that day, at that time, there was nothing to make them remember what they were doing.

I don't feel like we are going to get much more than what they are asking.

They need independent witness info that is not based on suggestion. What people saw, not what they think they saw based on suggestion.

Isn't that what they are doing with the fliers? Sheeesh.

LE will put out pieces of info in order to help people remember, as we develop new leads we will put out more info

They want people to tell what they actually saw instead of what they think they saw based on various suggestive things they've seen in the press or heard in local gossip.

it might have been easier if they'd asked a couple of days afterwards.

Gates is talking about the concern about testimony being subject to "suggestion." They don't want they memories tainted. That is exactly what I mean.

If you ask them if they saw the truck on this road between 10:15 and 10:30am.... if they saw the truck there at 10:45am, you have already suggested to them that perhaps they were wrong about the time!

I would jump on that one as a defense attorney...

It seems as if they have specific info and are just releasing what the have to to enable someone's memory to be jogged without 'suggesting' the outcome.

They want people, IF they contact them, to specify the TYPE of vehicle they were driving.

Gates says he recalls exactly what he was doing on the 4th and thinks others will too due to the publicity

they are expecting people remember more than many people may, since the 4th was a significant news day for this area

Gates remembers what he did on Friday the 4th and thinks a lot of people do because of the Kyron news being so memorable.
