Ok I am going to throw this out here about the pinging of the phones etc...I know in the story in this link
http://abcnews.go.com/US/Story?id=5657553&page=1
this lady was trapped in her car for 5 days while Rescue searced the area with lots of manpower, k-9s etc before finding her near where her cell phone "pinged" because the cell phone only pings within a rather large footage area. My father was a rescue worker on this case and he was telling me about how the "pings" are only within about 20ft?? Not pinpoint. I wanted to share this story about how ppl searched based on facts as well as "pings" so everyone realizes it can be difficult. I know the story doesnt mention the phone pings its just my personal knowledge but still you can see searches can be/are difficult even when you know the area and its a large object in thick woods and/or brush. So if they got a ping on the phones in those woods and now recovered them (thus the evidence found today-despite being told they was nothing) do you think they have had enough time to review the evidence on the phones to suspect something is in the house?

Sure it would probably only take them a few hours to look at the phones, dont forget, they probably got most of the phone information from the phone records themselves, though, they would have needed a warrant for that too now that I think about it. But they could have looked at the records maybe with the parents permission. With the FBI involved they have all kinds of techs that can probably go through the phones in no time.

I don't think the phones are in the home - I think they're looking for something else.

But I do believe the phones have some very damning evidence. Either they're 'disposable' phone and they are needed to either get the numbers to then ask the company for the records, or to get the data from the phone itself if there is no record with the company. Or, if they are 'regular' cell phones, then maybe pictures? I can't figure it out but those phones do seem to be what they were looking for with the metal detectors, IMO. They play a role somehow.

ETA: Now I've convinced myself that maybe they are looking for the phones... LOL... But if so, they really really must be important to this case.

The phones,IMO. And I believe they will find them...MOO

I agree!! I 'd bet good money you will see them digging up the sewer line for those phones tomorrow. Those phones are the key to cracking this case, all the evidence they want is one them. IMO!!!

Baby Lisa’s parents barred from home; police execute search warrant
snip-

Authorities have executed a search warrant on the family home of missing 10-month-old Lisa Irwin while barring the parents from re-entering their residence.
In Session's Ryan Smith asked criminal defense attorney Mark Eiglarsh on "Dr. Drew" whether it was common for authorities to keep people out while they conduct their search.

“Absolutely!” Eiglarsh responded. “It would shock me if somehow they allowed the family access to the home during a search ... 100-percent – they keep them out.”

Eiglarsh went on to explain why this is such a significant development.

“They have a search warrant," he stated. "That means a judge signed off on their right to search for specific items. They have something in mind, and hopefully this will lead to further the investigation

Does anyone have a link to the presser when SY talks about them searching the home? IIRC, he said it was with the parents' permission and something about (paraphrasing) well, since they're letting us be here, we're gonna stay here or something vaguely like that. Plus, there was vid. of some of the searchers wearing the protective gear.

It just seem to me that they already did a pretty thorough search, so I wonder why the warrant now??

That's right too! I remember that.

Did I read dogs were around the house today? I read something about dogs and then a discussion. Could they have been drug dogs?

Could they be searching for drugs? It's hard to drink as much as she and her neighbor drank that night without "help". I totally believe the 2:30 call was to obtain drugs. Someone here said JI being an electrician would know about hiding things behind plates, etc.,. I think drugs are what they are after.

DB's mother was an addict, addiction is hereditary, especially alcohol addiction - not sure if it's the same for drugs...but if so....

Oh no...read this from this 2007 missing baby case and later a murder case in Ft. Bragg where Deborah used to live.
http://www.wral.com/news/local/story/1951731/

This baby was the same age. The mom was the same age. The mom tried to make it appear that someone had come into the house through a window.

“the window in the baby's room was open, and the screen had been removed.”

Wow - great find.

I looked up the case. This is gold in helping understand what may have happened with DB.

During the 911 call, Heuser wailed, sobbed and retched as she clung to the child’s father, Sgt. Ronald Creech II, who expected a joyous reunion with his daughter after a 15-month deployment in Iraq.

But Heuser’s wails and sobs were an act, Creech and law officers say.

The baby’s decomposing remains and clothing were found in a diaper box in the attic of the Harnett County home where the 911 call was made. Investigators say they think the baby had been dead for several weeks, and neighbors had complained since this summer of a foul odor coming from the red-brick home on Ray Road in Spring Lake.

Heuser, 25, has been charged with first-degree murder.

Creech, a native of Alabama, had just arrived at the home he rented for Heuser before he was deployed. He had not seen his child since November, when he spent 15 days with her during a mid-tour leave, said Maj. Tom Earnhardt, a spokesman with the 82nd Airborne Division, on Tuesday.

...

Heuser sobbed quietly at first and tried to quiet her other three children. Irizarry calmly explained to the 911 dispatcher that the child’s father had just returned home from Iraq and wanted to see his child. Irizarry said that the window in Harmony’s room was open and that she was gone, along with her diaper bag and clothing.

Heuser’s quiet sobs dissolved into wailing when her mother asked her what the child was wearing. Pink pajamas with the words “Daddy’s Girl” across the front, Heuser answered in a high, quavering voice.

Heuser told her mother to tell the dispatcher she saw her daughter at 11:30 p.m. the night before.

“It was right after you left when I fed her,” Heuser said to her mother between sobs. Local and federal authorities had doubts about Heuser’s story from the start of their investigation. Harnett Sheriff’s Maj. Gary McNeill said Tuesday that Heuser had flunked a certified voice stress test administered by the sheriff’s office and a polygraph test by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

“The statements she was making to us indicated she was deceptive,” said McNeill, who added that the investigation continues.

If they had the parents permission to search, would that not be suffficient? The video of DB buying wine is pretty useless anyway since she has admitted to being tanked.

Defense attorneys always try to get the evidence tossed unless there was a warrant. And they will try this time. But usually as long as the person is not a suspect and they gave permission for the search, it is allowed in.

At this point LE has seemed to be interested in DB, but they continue to look at other persons of interest and checking for live babies. So they haven't narrowed their focus on her as a suspect yet.

They do keep going to the back of the house.

Yep. It could be those phones just kept pinging and pinging right in that area, and they are just sure they are hidden somewhere in the house. Maybe in a cold air return duct or heating duct? Attic crawl space? Bottom of the toy box? Behind a dresser drawer? Inside the box springs? All kinds of places you could hide phones.

I also think they are looking for those phones. I bet the phones are (or were) pinging in the area. But LE has not found them to this day. So now they might be able to look inside the house walls and such to see if the phones are there.

Remembering from Caylee's case -I think-
didn't LE have to state what they were looking for to get the SW signed by a judge?

.

Twenty-five-year old Deborah's grieving characteristics and twenty-five-year old Johni Michelle Heuser's are similar. This was the female from Ft. Bragg (where Deborah previously lived) that said her 11 month baby (same age as Lisa) was missing and her window was open (bingo again) with screen removed. Her husband had also just returned from "his employment" when 911 had to be called. (Her baby was later found in the attic.)

You have got to read about this. There are many coincidences.

FORGIVE ME GRAPHIC what would be left of a small baby in the woods?
She would be like little Caylee by now. If a man did walk with a baby only in a diaper as reported in the beginning of the case.............I am very sad, I don't think they will find a baby unless she is in a container.

I think it depends PF. It would depend on how a body was disposed of: tossed into brush, buried, etc. It would depend on what a body was wrapped in---plastic, sealed in a rubbermaid container, blankets...etc.

I don't think we could really speculate given all the unknowns. JMHO.

If those darned phones are still pinging, I'm gonna get me one - my phone dies within a few hours.

ITA. Depends on whether the body is buried or wrapped into something, etc.

..i think it is as well.

..the occupants aren't allowed to hang around the house while the warrant is being executed.

..in fact i remember cindy/george anthony having a fit b/c they had to go out back when LE showed up again on december 20th (? i believe it was ) with yet another S/W.

Josh Powell and his boys were in his backyard during the search warrant search at his house. I would think they would be allowed to be "present," but not "in the way" during an execution. In other words, they could stand outside and watch, but not come inside unless asked.

I'm not 100% sure on how pings work from cells.. but very recently I was nervous when my 18yr old daughter did not return home from work and was not answer her phone (which she ALWAYS has on her).. no one had heard from her including her boyfriend she is constantly in contact with. I called the police and within an hour of filing the report they pinged her cell phone and told me the cross streets in the next town over where it was pinging from.. They had it down to the nearest intersection.. so I think they can get that info pretty quickly and nail it down to the general area.

I think if they had pings coming from anywhere near the house this warrant would have been out a lot sooner.

It'll sure be interesting to hear (if they even release) what they are removing from the house tomorrow. I think they got the warrant because they plan to do some damage to the house while they are looking (rip up floor, walls etc). Lets just hope they don't frigging bulldoze the house when they are done (scuse the sarcasm).
