LE serves search warrant on family's home

Was someone going to send that info to LE? About the case at Fort Bragg? You never know what LE knows, sometimes we may assume too much. JMO

Thats not a bad idea to do that. Is there someone that is close by that could call them? I think someone should.

Nothing except the discussion was about whether this family was familiar with missing child cases...so I just mentioned that I saw this...sorry.

It only means you are aware and interested in missing children, which was my only point, that at least someone they are friendly with does follow missing children cases and it was being discussed whether or not they did. That's all.

Oh no...read this from this 2007 missing baby case and later a murder case in Ft. Bragg where Deborah used to live.

This baby was the same age. The mom was the same age. The mom tried to make it appear that someone had come into the house through a window.

“the window in the baby's room was open, and the screen had been removed.”

Hope LE checked the attic..... wonder if they have one? Maybe that is why the cell ping are pinging around the house....

I thought it strange when Le issued a no fly zone over the woods they were searching.Unless they found evidence or baby Lisa and didn't want press to be able to take pictures.

Well I know myself, I was on a board about Kyron missing and then when Caylee, well that whole debacle happened I was on a lot of discussion boards on facebook for that.. So I had their pics up at that time.. I know a lot of people that did..

SO BIZARRE! Since that mother was caught and charged with 1st degree murder, one might assume it wouldn't be wise to play the same deck of cards ??? :woohoo:

Sorry if this has been covered (i'm a few pages behind) but I thought police had access to the house already but wondered if since they got Tacopina last night if he advised JI and DB to no longer allow the police in the house. Then they would have needed to go and get a warrant. MOO

Just wondering or it could be that they needed to do things that the family did not previously allow like tearing down walls or digging. MOO

One of my books on profiling by Robert Ressler goes over how an organized offender he profiled to police he included that they will likely find the murderer keeps a lot of detective magazines in his house. Sure enough, that's exactly what they found. Ressler concluded that due to how the crime scene was left I believe. There was little to trace the murderer with.

Good post HS. So to update Robert Ressler's work, you could say people who spend a lot of time on websites like Websleuths would be an analogy to the detective magazines in your scenario.

O/T but I believe profiling is amazing. The things they come up with and are right about is fascinating.

I agree. By the way, the show "Criminal Minds" is based on the Behavioral Analysis Unit, which is the unit Ressler established himself. The show is actually quite good, it hits on many of the points Ressler makes in his books. If the show has one shortcoming it is that they have to write the script for a non-cable network, and so sexual homicides aren't treated with total accuracy (they are softened up a bit, so the actual texts on profiling are vital), but the show is great overall.

An even better program that just came out is "Killer Instinct". This is done by a former FBI profiler, the cases are actual cases he profiled, and the reenactments are great. It's on a cable chanel cloo so it doesn't hold back. Viewer discretion advised.
