Just jumping off your post greenpalm;
I've seen a lot of posts about only being able to retrieve text messages from the actual phone.
Working in a law office that handles many capital murder cases (both State and Federal) and many drug cases (both State and Federal) I can tell you that LE will have the exact content of any texts sent and received. You may not get them on your phone statement, but LE gets them from you phone records, regardless of the company. Same thing for any emails you have sent or received, even if LE does not have the computer, or the cell phone in the case of phones.
Just a nugget of info for everyone.
ETA: As far as any computer searches they would need the hard drive. Didn't want to confuse that part.
Kansas City Police Department spokesman Capt. Steve Young said they want to see what the parents might have now that they did not have before.

I thought that was only true if they had a trace on your phone ahead of time, not trying to gather it after the fact? I could be wrong- too many episodes of The Wire or something :crazy:Just jumping off your post greenpalm;

I agree. By the way, the show "Criminal Minds" is based on the Behavioral Analysis Unit, which is the unit Ressler established himself. The show is actually quite good, it hits on many of the points Ressler makes in his books. If the show has one shortcoming it is that they have to write the script for a non-cable network, and so sexual homicides aren't treated with total accuracy (they are softened up a bit, so the actual texts on profiling are vital), but the show is great overall.
An even better program that just came out is "Killer Instinct". This is done by a former FBI profiler, the cases are actual cases he profiled, and the reenactments are great. It's on a cable chanel cloo so it doesn't hold back. Viewer discretion advised.
The shows are free to watch at the cloo website. I recommend them all - there are five shows to watch now. The fourth one is on a female sociopath serial killer:

Wow, that sparked an old memory. Years ago I had a friend, her and husband rented out the upstairs of their house (1 bdrm apt) and their tenant at the time was behind in their rent. She said to me, "he can't pay rent but he can afford pot" I said "how do you know" she said " we can hear the clicking when he bangs the lighter on the back of the pipe to empty the bowl".
I thought that was only true if they had a trace on your phone ahead of time, not trying to gather it after the fact? I could be wrong- too many episodes of The Wire or something :crazy:
Well we filled this thread up with "What could the clicking noise be"...should we attempt to identify what in the world the Irwin's could have now that they didn't have before?
I think we can safely rule out Pink Elephant's.
Also, they need to define "before." When exactly was "before?" Was it at the last search of the home or was it before Lisa went missing or was it before Mom got drunk.
Authorities have blocked off North Lister Avenue in ahead of an expected search of Lisa Irwin's home.
