LE statement on the case to be released

Considering their story changed so drastically from the first week where Deb said she put Lisa down at 10:30, then later changed it to 6:40...and they have only talked to LE ONE time since then (around the DR Phil interview) .... my goodness WHY do some people NOT see this as a HUGE, Mama-honkin' RED FLAG??? :what:

iamnotagolem -- that very well may be... he may have been slippin' under the radar. His show of temper on the KCTV 5 clip, as well as reports from locals of his temper, he sure isn't the mild-mannered guy he plays on TV in the interviews, apparently.

When asked who would possible harm your child, you responded, "Somebody who would cheat on her husband"...please explain what made you say this.

Jeremy is not a nice guy. If anyone mistook him for one, please re-assess. He refused to let his sister and parents ever see Lisa. This is major. Why did he deny his baby her grandparents and Aunt? His sister had to take him to court to get the $100 he owed her. IMO, he is cheap, real cheap. IMO, he is enjoying having all the extra money he has these days...and that wouldn't happen w/o DB and her cousin's connections. DB has assisted in playing the public and the public always opens their wallets when their hearts are touched. He loves, loves, loves having attorneys protecting him. If he threw out DB, the attorneys go with her.

Imo, he is a conniving SOB. There is something about his cryptic response to LE about Lisa missing that is wrong. I think he was sending a warning to DB.

I sooo couldn't agree with that more!

His body language speaks volumes. I've thought for a long time now that he is the one being protected. I think that cryptic comment was an attempt to throw DB under the bus. . .or a warning that he would if she started talking. After all, he is the one that told us everyone but DB had been cleared.

ETA- I don't think DB is smart enough to have pulled this off by herself.

My only real hope at this point is as the boys get older, they will break free and tell someone what happened in the house that night, and what has happened since. It may be years from now, but I honestly feel they are almost in a hostage situation right now and JI/DB are keeping them on a tight leash.

I do believe they have a LOT to say. One day....maybe.

Askfornina has a siggy line displaying two pics of lisa. See post #6 for reference. The pic on the right doesn't appear right to me. Lisa looks very ill. There is something wrong with her, imo. She looks very sad...and this is unusual for a baby.

These parents have very few pics of this precious child...but this one of her is concerning to me. I didn't know how to post it...so I referred you guys to the post. I think it was taken around the same time as the one with Lisa's hands pressed against the glass door...another sad pic, imo.

After the first few months, I haven't noticed many, if any, pics of her smiling.

I remember the times when we were all trying to figure out the clicking noise the boys heard. One day when I was packing for storage, I used a 3M packaging tape. When I pulled on it, to my surprise, it sounded just like a clicking sound. I would have never guessed that tape made that sound.

I have to wonder if that was the clicking the boys heard. May be, maybe not but it sure stood out to me.

John Picerno, a Kansas City lawyer for Bradley and Irwin, said Thursday they are now giving "100 percent and complete" cooperation to police. He said police "are doing what they can" to find Lisa.

OK, if 100 % and complete co-operation means Deb still won't answer the questions LE has for her and hasn't met with them for seven months I think they need something other than Deb cooperating 100 % and complete.

"There is no question she was kidnapped," Picerno said. "If there was any foul play involving Deborah or Jeremy we would heard about it by now."

To quote Jeremy Irwin, this is Bull...
These lawyer types always say this and it's never convincing to me...
Anybody can say that since we haven't been arrested yet it means we didn't do it but as long as the case is unsolved it is untrue for at least one person.

but relationships and alliances among people withholding key information can also shift.

I wonder how long they can stick it out. They are pretty much conjoined at the hip now.

...which is another strange development. Parents tend to blame each other and many marriages don't survive the ordeal. These two aren't even married and are tied at the hip. I am sure this has been considered by profilers who have seen what happens to couples. Considering there personality, that even makes their behavior more than strange.

Not once have these two blamed each other. If I were Jeremy and things went down as DB said, she may wish for protection because I know I would be very very angry that she was drunk and lost my child. She would be in a world of hurt and I would be telling LE, "Arrest her before I kill her".

What does he do? Stand beside her and protect her. ODD and not normal behavior for the best of emotionally stable couples.

I have to wonder if they are going to make an arrest next week. LE has something up their sleeves.

Adding to your thinking, here is something I could never reconcile. If DB disappeared the baby, her own flesh and blood, how could JI be fine leaving his son under her care. Wouldn't the worry eat at him? It really makes you wonder.

I wonder if this released statement is to basically close to the year anniversary bring a little heat on them, and to let it be known without saying the words that there is no statue of limitations, we have a lot of hard working investigator's still going over the case and we will get you one day. LOL

I don't think that this press release put any additional "heat" on DB/JI. If they wanted to put some public pressure on them they should say that they have some evidence that points towards Lisa's parents. Now that would put some heat on them. Instead they talk about wanting to talk to DB "one on one". Sounds like they want to talk to her without a lawyer to me. That's not going to happen.

The press release says this about investigators working the case.
A KCPD detective and FBI agent actively work the case nearly every day.
I wouldn't characterize one KCPD detective and one FBI agent working part time on this case a being "a lot of hardworking investigators".

JI threw his parents under the bus in the 911 call?

from the article i posted yesterday:

Sgt. Sondra Zink, who was the lead investigator on the Baby Lisa case for nearly six months, remembers the wakeup call about 4:30 a.m. last Oct. 4 that started it all.

The first she heard was that a baby was missing in a possible custody dispute involving grandparents. The baby wasn’t believed to be in danger.

wish they'd release the 911 call already...

I noticed that too. Very strange.

That was a good article, thanks for linking it.

If JI pointed the finger at his estranged parents in the initial days, I am going to have to rethink some things. He later made that cryptic statement about "someone who cheats on their spouse" which would be pointing the finger at someone else a second time. Could he have taken BL to work with him and disposed of her somewhere? That would explain why DB never seemed to check on her that evening. Do we know if there is any employer installed GPS device on his work van and if the HRD dogs ever checked it? Wonder how many dumpsters there are between their home and that Starbucks.

Good working theory and at the top of my list. I say hundreds of dumpsters. If he were smart he would have driven out of the area and placed her in a dumpster a good distance from the house on Lister.

BBM: "Someone who cheats on their husband"..slight correction.

yw :) ... it was a nice find for me in that it provided some insight into how LE felt about things that the DT accused them of seeing as how tight lipped SY and the KCMOPD have been.

i'm rethinking JI too... but from the opposite angle. if he was so quick to believe his parents might've been responsible for taking lisa and later suggested what he did about the cheating person, i wonder if he truly knew what happened to lisa. does anyone believe it's possible he didn't know anything til later on and was just trying to brainstorm all the possibiblities of who would take his baby girl? <modsnip> imo...
