The true reason they parted ways is so very tragic.Isn't is great ...ill try to fix the link ...it definitely brought a smile to my face ....especially the very beginning....
Sooooooouuuuuuuul train lol
Prince and Mayte were beautiful together ...I watched the Oprah interview with them right after the death of Gregory yesterday ...so incredibly sad, they were so in love and Prince was so cute ....I truly feel they were soul mates and that tragedy tore them apart.
I never saw him look at a woman in public like he did Mayte . She makes no secret of the fact that she never got over him.
He wrote some beautiful music for her .Im thinking , how does one move on from that ?
I also watched that video of Prince and Mayte on Oprah this morning. Yes, they seemed truly in love and I think their son's death was just too much. I had read that he would no longer sing The Most Beautiful Girl In The World because Mayte wasn't there to dance to it...
....so tell me...he never had anything in place to secure his estate for his family? (I mean Mayte & his son...who died)
Apparently not...
So sad...
Re the Oprah video, was he not just the cutest when they were talking of their love being forever and he got all shy and put his head down ? Made me so sad for how things can go so tragically wrong .
Cubbeegirl and BUF,
I had every Prince album, cd and video that was released from 1984 up until I moved out of state a few years ago. I started that collection when Purple Rain was top on Billboard (1984). I could only fit so much in my SUV to move, so I gave the collection to my son. Boy was he happy!
Have you ever listened to his song Sex In The Summer? If you listen to that track, you will hear the actual ultrasound of their child's heartbeat. Listen to the entire song if you can. You can really hear it good around the middle of that song.
That song is on the Emancipation album. Also, the song title was supposed to be named Conception, but it was released as Sex In The Summer instead.
