While I usually smile when someone talks about LP, I think he is silly and a media hog, as I have said in post on another thread- this news item really upsets me. My husband spent a good many years investigating child molesters and putting a whole lot of them behind bars and I personally don't believe a pedophile is EVER rehabilitated to the point where they would not be a danger to the public. So I don't think I am going to smile and call LP silly anymore, I am going to shake my head sadly that a man, who is supposedly intelligent, could EVER offer assistance to a someone who harmed a child.

The laws of our land say that once a man has paid his debt to society to which he was sentenced then he is free to go. Sex-offenders are no exception, although, albeit, they should be, they are not. They do carry an additional "condition" that states that they must register as a sex offender and report job changes and residence changes immediately. Our legal system convicted this man, sentenced him and then "treated" him. As further insurance he will be wearing a satellite ankle monitor and will be living in a building with a guard where there are no children. I know that crimes against children are unjust and without understanding, but to say that this man should not have the protections afforded him by the legal system of our country implies that mob rule should be the rule of the day-where the vigilantes, and not the justice system make the decisions about what will happen to criminals. If THAT becomes the reality then our entire society will melt down into anarchy and there will be no protections for ANY of us, much less these dregs of society molesters. He was NOT sentenced to death, and he was NOT sentenced to life, so what DO you suppose we do with him?

Mr. Padilla has done nothing that ALL of us here have not done-worked up new theories from the evidence as it has become available to us. We have thrown around some pretty far out there ideas and these ideas have involved various players. Why is it that HE gets judged so harshly for it when it is nothing different than what we have done here? I don't get it...Poor Leonard...

BEing a pedophile does not necessarily mean harming a child. He could have been a kiddie guy or raped a 16 year old. Both would still give him the title of pedophile. I would want more information about the case before passing judgment on what LP is doing. 60 acres is a large piece of land. If the trailer is adjacent to the communityu and near a park or school, I could see the problem. I believe in CA, a convicted pedophile cannot live within 1000 yards of a school or gathering place of children.

He was deceived by whomever asked him to enter this case. He said in the beginning he was told he would have access to KC, (another lie by JB or KC??)
and maybe he is guilty of not doing his research, but the first document dump came after his arrival. I think alot of people got an eye opening after that. And the last time I checked the only people charged with any wrongdoing in this case was KC. I did not see LP's name anywhere so I don't understand this treatment of him in this thread.

Supposedly, LP has been schooled in law, and if that's true and he still assumed that he was going to have free-access to Casey, then that's just plain foolishness on his part.

No Defense Attorney is going to allow his client to be interrogated without counsel once he is retained by said client, and LP had to have known this from the start.

I think that he didn't get his demanded way, and now he's behaving like a spoiled child, ready to sully anyone and everyone in the Anthony family just out of retaliation.

Frankly, I'm surprised that he hasn't started attacking the Caylee's pet dogs yet.

Well, her parents, according to the uncle Rick, completely DENIED she was even pregnant until she was 8 months pregnant.
They had a bit of a squabble with the rest of the family when the fam were asking when she was due, etc, and they said, she's a virgin, she is not pregnant (because Casey told them that I guess)...
so let's suppose she WAS a virgin until she got pregnant with Caylee or had had no "boyfriends".
WHY would she not tell who the real father was at that point?
Why lie and say it was a guy she was not even with when she got pregnant?
WHY LIE? period? unless there was something to hide?......

It makes sense, IF Casey had, had a boyfriend the parents would have guessed she was pregnant at 8 months....soooooo my guess is: she wasn't dating anyone.

Why Lie? there's many reasons....maybe she was threatened, maybe it had been going on for years, maybe she was raped, or maybe she raped him, maybe she thought the parents wouldn't believe her....maybe she was a virgin when it all began...maybe 'that' is what made her become what she IS...

Has anyone thought it possible that since Casey was forced to keep the baby instead of putting it up for adoption like she wanted, has caused Casey to relive the incest experience every time she looked at the child, thus causing her to SNAP and go off the deep-end?...:raincloud:

Probably so but I am positive none of the A's want to be involved in any depositions. LP may be just saying it to get LA to sue so his attorneys can depose all of the A's, Casey included. For the record I do not think LA is Caylee's father but think LP is a pretty smart guy.

I reckon her part time gig as a DNA collection technician didn't pay enough.

I think we're going in circles. I asked how LP stating that Lee is Caylee's father is helping to find Caylee. We all know that Casey has done nothing and likely doesn't want Caylee to be found.

Go to registered sex offenders registry for your state and look at the sex offenders who live by you. The law says they get sent back to the county where they did the crime. I KNOW pedophiles do not rehabilitate, but I am not a judge or a jury am I?

I have agreed with and liked a lot of your posts until now. I believe that kiddie , and raping a 16 year old is all harming a child. I am hoping that you mis-stated or I misunderstood your post.

Well, he should have known better. By the time he got involved the whole world knew there was no real ZFG. I do find it funny though that he apparently was duped by Baez considering that most people seem to think Baez is as dumb as a box of rocks.

Good post, Gardenhart. LP has spread this rumor and now half the world is convinced that Lee is indeed the father of little Caylee. Proof, of course, is in Caylee's name - because it is 'sort of kind of' a cross between the names Casey and Lee. Who needs DNA testing when it's a fact that every child who is a product of incest has a name derived from both of the parents.

If that's true, then 2 of my sons are products of their father and grandfather.

I so agree with your post, as well as your previous post that I didn't quote here, speaking of the fact that it certainly is not LP's place to be announcing Caylee's parentage to the world, no matter who it is.

LP long ago lost his dog in this fight.

TP, however, I've always had, and still do respect. He appears to be a very loving, upstanding gentleman.
