Well, she didnt get the BOX of wine to look at it.No mother regardless of drunkenness kills her child out of the blue. Causing a drunken accident maybe... but you have to have it in you to do it even under the influence. Having a "black out" isnt exculpatory. She is still responsible for her actions IF a jury is following the law and not their emotions. The defense just wants to be sure to play on the emotions of potential jurors.
A woman on another board had an interesting take on it.. she said she thought that she killed the baby on accident and called the brother/guy who got the wine with her.. drank the wine to help her have the guts to dispose of the body. Interesting idea.
I think that many of us here had expressed belief there is a good possibility she killed the baby prior to getting "drunk". I am not going with "accident"...as I think many times people have a hard time coming to terms with a homicide when parents are involved.
