Live MSM coverage on baby Lisa 21 October 2011- including Nancy Grace

I don't think the baby sightings will pan out and, if they do, I would think it was an accomplice who was carrying Lisa. But I still can't wrap my mind around anyone carrying a deceased child out on the main street. Plus, the sightings were a few hours apart. Was this person with the baby only in a diaper just walking around the main streets for hours?

What reassures me the most... is that as evident by today's news, LE has a good handle on this case. I think they were misled by DB initially (maybe JI too) but I think they do have evidence guiding them. I don't think this is a witch hunt in any way.

i wonder if it was the dad just wandering with the deceased or d brother seems odd though since they said Lisa clothes were burned

That would be very odd to see someone carrying a baby at that time without anything but a diaper on.

Yes, that would be odd to say the least.
I learn something from every case I follow. This particular case I have learned, that no matter what, if I see something suspicious involving a child, I am calling 911.
What if this "man" carrying a baby only in a diaper could have been a woman dressed like a man??????????????????

NG

Guest (detective) on the show is discussing the timeline of the sightings and how LE will have to work around that and make it fit in. (paraphrased)

Those are my questions as well. In addition is the description of the male carrying the baby the same by both sets of witnesses? If already discussed on NG's show I may have missed it......had to step away for a moment.

(If you hop over to the 'diaper' thread, you can see some other theories... a deceased baby wouldn't need blanket... :(.... and neither would a doll/decoy - something that could have been used if they wanted someone to spot someone 'abducting a baby'.)

True. I would think that if someone were trying to transport a deceased baby, they would put a blanket over the child rather than call attention to themselves like that.

unless they didn't take anything from the house because they didn't want items from the house being found with the baby's body.

ETA: and didn't want items from the house to be found missing

and didn't want to transport the body in the car so decomp couldn't be detected

That's why I think - IF these people saw what they saw, and I'm believing that they did - then it could have been a decoy. OR... a live baby Lisa. I think someone transporting a dead baby would hide it in a backpack/duffle. JMHO

Seriously, that was one of my thoughts regarding this unbelievable scenario. A set up to make it look like this person was the "abductor".

MOO

My personal feeling is that the first sighting was either someone carrying something other than a baby that, in the dark of night, looked like a baby. The second sighting, I think, is just a copycat sighting by someone who wanted their 15 minutes of fame. I just can't believe that it happened for many different reasons.

The second witness didn't come forward for a week. But that time the woman whose husband saw the baby was giving TV interviews already.

I just can't see it. Someone saying "i am going to strip this dead baby and walk around at midnight (or 4 am) with her in nothing but a diaper until someone sees us to make it look like an abduction" is beyond the realms of possibility to me. The risk of someone noticing the baby is dead is to high. Someone being nosy, someone stopping their car to ask for directions etc. Same with a doll.

I am falling off the fence but I don't see this as a greatly thought out plot. The baby is the size of a watermelon right? Searchers could have passed her body a dozen times, or DB could have driven her somewhere they haven't looked. License or not, that risk I can see. At least the baby is in the car then.

JMHO and thoughts about these sightings.

First sighting - 3 - 4 houses away from Lisa's house. I believe this was just a neighbor not known to the couple that reported - or even a friend or relative just staying with a neighbor that had a baby and was out - I also believe that LE has already cleared this up and possibly even seen the baby that was being carried.

Second sighting - 4 AM !!! In the morning - NOT in a residential area - and this guy is out walking with a almost naked baby? Nope. I agree, I just think this guy is out for his 15 minutes - it took a week for him to "call it in"? Really? When this story was all over the news - and its a WEEK later that he remembers seeing a guy and a baby at 4AM?? Really?

But that's JHMO and thoughts about these "sightings".

P.S. - in the floor plan thread - the new floor plan of the house - I'm now leaning to perhaps Lisa fell down the stairs. Look at how close her bedroom door was to the opening for the stairs. IDK - just still thinkin' here.

I agree, and one of my reasons is more of a question: Doesn't local LE patrol at night? Could a person seriously be walking around carrying a baby (dead or alive) dressed only in a diaper in the middle of the night and not risk a police car driving up beside them asking what they're doing? A man carrying around a dead baby uncovered?

Early on, police had said they had checked out the report of someone carrying a baby and verified it was unrelated.

Now this is all news again. I think it's being "made" into news by DB's team.
