local media's first home tour and presser 10/27/11 **cancelled**

I could have been clearer. I'm a lazy writer! :)

Now that I see "which" pond, it may very well be something they just decided to do. Lots of dumping has happened there over the years. I'm not really sure what it is about that location.

I've seen discussions going on about ideas of places and pouf... KCPD is at the spot discussed supposedly not based on a tip. Who knows. I think they're doing a great job considering the circumstances. I just don't understand why DB/JI attorneys continue to imply that KCPD is not? If someone abducted this child would it not be plausible that they dumped anything near the home? Or left fingerprints and evidence in the home? It seems that the parents have made this out to be all about themselves when it appears to me it's a pretty standard investigation. Or started that way. IMVHO.

I completely agree with you on how LE is doing. The bottom line though is that this little baby has not been found. What did they do with her? :(

Good point. Although I think of OJ, and no way, no time, never will he admit it. But anyway, using appeasement would be interesting, and what do they have to lose at this point?

I am probably alone in thinking they should "accommodate" DB and JI and assign a "nicer, more understanding" detective to "interview" them. Ala your "good cop" premise.

BBM:

I wouldn't give an inch. The parents aren't running this investigation. If anything, I would have a new FBI agent joining LE in the questioning. That's it. The parents and their lawyer have no right to call the shots on this.

Never compromise with witnesses (that is what the parents are at this point), or any players in a case with one exception. That exception would be to show LE where the body is or the actual physical location of the baby.

I firmly believe that when you start giving in to the demands of witnesses or the people you want to question is when you start losing control over the investigation.

To the parents: Talk to LE if you want, don't talk to LE if you don't want to. LE will solve this case whether you like it or not. It just might take longer without your cooperation.

IMO, LE has nothing to do with the canceled family presser or DB would be shouting that from the rooftop through her Stand back or get pelted w tears n blather manner. Gah!! I know what wore her out! The candles! The blubbering! Keeping control of everyone around her! What parent does that?! The GUILTY one! She knows darn well she is responsible for Lisas disapearance and no one is giving her the sympathy and condolences she feels are warranted . Greiving. Gah! GMAB!! Its like watching a teenager revolting against a curfew. Boo foxtrot HOo.

Actually, they're victims at this point. Victims of a child abduction. They witnessed nothing.

I posted this on another thread and they said you were talking about this over here so I am copying what I wrote there to bring it here.. Whew...

From KMBC:

"The last few weeks have been exhausting to everyone working on behalf of the Irwin family, it has exhausted Lisa's parents and her friends and family," attorney Cyndy Short said in a news release. "The consensus is we call need a rest until next week.

Now, are we kidding me.. The family is exhausted, now what about all the LE people that have been looking for this baby. Exhausted from what may I ask. They need a rest from finding their child.. Holy cow, now seriously. I wouldnt be able to rest at all. Something is wrong with that whole statement.

I had to add this.. Does this mean they are too tired to speak with the police again as well and what about the kids, is everyone too tired to talk about where Lisa might be.. I am up all day long and night long because of this case. I live in NY and do not know these people and I put in more hours then the parents, family and friends have.. and that is not only my opinion it is a fact.

The parents each need their own lawyer. Using one lawyer is a conflict of interest. I don't see LE cooperating or meeting any of their demands until they have separate lawyers.

No name calling and no diagnosing players with disorders please.

Seems to me the more footwork into the home the more evidence, if there is some in the house, becomes contaminated.

We have heard all about this with searches, they like them organized by LE or a similar organization, in the case evidence IS found not everyone is trampling on top of it or picking it up, etc. etc.

I don't see why this is a good idea other than confusing the situation that much MORE.

LE needs them to answer some questions.....maybe they will when they are all rested up. :innocent: And, yes, they are witnesses. They know who was in and out of their home that evening....before JI went to work and before DB went to sleep/passed out.

Thanks, Frankie. I'm on the same page as you and your words just saved my mouse from flying across the room. HOW MANY BREAKS DO THEY NEED? And how do you take a rest from doing nothing? :furious:

Guess who else is probably tired, and scared, and alone, and needing help? The more they make this about themselves and less about their supposedly kidnapped baby, the more and more I slip off the dang fence! I mean seriously!!!! Who worries about sleep when their baby is gone? Only this family...

No name calling and no diagnosing players with disorders please.

Since I have a tad bit of education on the matter. ;) I think this site may need to clarify how they define the term narcissism. Narcissism (Dictionary) vs. Narcissistic Personality Disorder are two very different things.

Everyone has a healthy dose of Narcissism. It is a general term that does not mean anything other than in layman's terms. "It's all about self"

I never caught anyone here diagnosing anyone with a PD. However, it should be mentioned that NPD is geared to be eliminated from the DSM V manual and is considered a general diagnosis of more specific diagnosis in the sociopath areas. There is a rather large debate going on in that realm.

Many high profile cases have had other PHD's and specialists in their respective field discuss the earmarks of these traits publicly, crossing over to explaining the NPD characteristics. I don't consider comparison to action in other cases and what we have been told about these actions to be "name calling" or "speculation". This case reeks of a set of parents that keep bringing attention back to themselves and not their child.

Since I am unlcear what is spefically being hand-slapped here, but noticed entries removed.....after seeing this term used other areas of this site, I for one would like a bit more clarification of what we are to do in this instance. Just not use the term at all?

Oh Aedrys, bless you for still holding on to that fence. I'm afraid I slipped off about a week ago. None of it makes any sense to me except for the parents are involved somehow.

I just hope that their involvement means that one of them staged an abduction for some unknown reason...and that Lisa is still alive and well!!

I know, right??

Goose and Lacey have worked harder to find Lisa than these parents. moo

Lisa, I'm sorry your parents are too exhausted to lend the kind of cooperation that could help find you :(

If the meeting with Lisa's brothers will still take place tomorrow, it's sad those two little boys are factually braver in helping to try and find their sister than their parents are.

Poor Lisa. She's the only one who's a victim, who's allowed to be exhausted and who deserves attention.

All my opinion :twocents:

However, running and hiding from the law is apparently QUITE exhausting.

DB and JI are not running, nor are they hiding from LE. They are still in KC. They have not been arrested, and LE knows exactly where they are living and they are free to follow the advice of their attorneys.

Whether anyone believes Lisa's parents are guilty or not, an effort should still be made to be accurate....IMHO.

This family is under tremendous stress. I'm sure no one is sleeping well, or able to eat much. The parents are asked by LE not to search themselves, but I'm sure they are not at home having a party. They have other family members who more than likely are not involved, even if DB and JI are, and those people are grieving and scared. Posters should at least think of them, because they are victims as well.

Sorry, but IMO, they are not victims. Baby Lisa is the victim. They are the parents and step brothers of the victim. They will all be asked to tell what they know.

It cannot definately be said that "they witnessed nothing."

Now I am kind of wondering if the house tour was cancelled because they got wind of this new search that would be going on at the same time of the tour. All of the media would be at the house instead.
