Question for all...with as badly as Doc Samuels is coming across with bias/ethical issues, do you think she could use this as grounds for a new trial/review of the case?
Not sure if I am explaining it correctly, but I know defendants have gotten new trials from ineffective attorneys, but what about their experts?
I don't know the technicalities, but I also wonder about this. Seems to me that Dr. Samuels not being buttoned-up reflects that JA's receiving ineffective counsel.
IMO, it was the DT's job to catch and have Samuels correct 90% of these problems. So to me, the DT was either lax or in support of Samuels manipulating his findings.
In addition, I don't feel his findings sufficiently lay a foundation for JA being proned to be "trapped" in a DV situation. I say this because, according to Samuels, nothing serious was wrong with JA until June 4th. Seems he should be tying-in a life full of abusive relationships, i.e., setting up the DV expert more strongly.
To me, all of this points to possible ineffective counsel.
