if it's the motion made today on the docket, Karmady posted earlier that she checked it out and it's about a protective order to prevent anyone from accessing DT fee history...unless something new has come up?

I apologize if this has been dealt with here, but I've been wondering about this.
I am still not sure if the gunshot came first or last, but I heard one forensic investigator throw out the possibility that the reason JA butchered TA was because the gun jammed and she needed to finish the job. He said that the only reason TA only had one gunshot wound was because she wasn't able to continue firing. Once he was hit and the gun jammed she freaked and grabbed the knife. Now how or where the knife came in I am totally confused. No matter how hard I try I cannot settle on one scenario for any of this. And as for premeditation, in the state of AZ, what time frame applies to premeditation? I have wondered if she didn't take Gramps' gun with her to threaten to kill herself in front of TA. His friend have said that many times when TA wanted to end it with her, she would play the 'kill myself card'. If he would have gone along with her plan, he would be alive. He stuck to his plan to be rid of her in his life and she killed him.

If she had been smart she would have struck that first fatal blow, gunshot or stab to chest, and locked him in the bathroom till he died. Just wait ten minutes or so. I guess she could not be sure. Plus, I don't know if there as an actual door to the bathroom which could close.

It is illegal to use a blue kerosene can to store gasoline. Gas cans are red. Either JA didn't know this, or she didn't care. It bugs me to hear them call it a gas can. It was clearly a kerosene can. If she tried to fill it with gas at a station with an attendant, they should have stopped her immediately. I know that the 4am purchase was made at the pump with no attendant on duty. Sorry but the discrepancy makes me nutty

I got an update on my FB about a protection order against the person who wished her dead. I think it was a justice for TA update.... not sure about the basis for it though.

Oh, I see what you mean. I thought she was looking over jurors to figure out who turned in certain questions. I also thought she was going to start looking at certain ones for their friendly mercy.

What is the process for weeding the jurors down to 12?

I believe it's a simple lottery system. The alternates will of course, have to remain "untainted" until the verdict is reached.

I remember from Kattiecoo's court reports that some of the men in the last row seem to be somewhat uninterested, so let's hope they don't make the cut.

I find Karla Homolka so disturbing that I can't stand to read or hear about that case at all. I couldn't believe it when I heard she got out of prison. I can't believe too many Canadians were thrilled about it either. Sometimes I think we should bring back Devil's Island.

Doesn't make sense that Travis ever intended to take Jodi to Cancun, since they would be there with Chris and Sky Hughes, who'd made clear to Travis that they didn't want him bringing Jodi anywhere near them or their kids.

No, I can see how this could have happened.

1. Travis could have been excited about JA in the beginning and immediately put JA's name on the trip. Often times, trips like this are planned almost a year in advance, so her name could have sat on the list for a long while.

2. Chris & Skye liked Jodi in the beginning. I've read something about them having even sent TA an email, fussing at him about being mean to JA. So we don't know exactly what month they conveyed to TA that they no longer liked her.

3. TA may not have dropped everything and changed the ticket the moment the Hughes' said they didn't like JA. He may have wanted to think about what he should do: listen to his friends' warning vs. make his own decisions about who he dated. So JA's name could have stayed on the list a while -- at least until he met a replacement girl he was excited about taking instead.

WOW!!! Yes, I just heard JVM's producer dropping this bombshell, too. But the producer didn't provide enough backup facts.

For example, I'm wondering if the producer learned that Travis took Jodi's name off the Cancun ticket 1) as "hearsay" via a friend of Travis', or 2) officially via the airline reservation system.

If it's true, I hope JM asks the judge ASAP to allow this as trial evidence. IMO, it bolsters the premeditation theory, and seriously erodes her self-defense claim.

But you called JM "horrid" recently (not here). I'm confused.

That's what I heard, too. She changed her name, is married to the brother of her prison attorney and has three children.

ETA: There was a special on E! News this morning ranking the top 15 Notorious Fatal Beauties (or something like that). I can't remember what number she was, but CA was number one.
