As bad as his diagnosis of PTSD was, his testing, etc. for Transient Global Amnesia was probably worse. JMO

I remember how over the weekend after the good Doctor droned on about the Transient Global Amnesia, the TH ,media and experts who were interviewed all made fun of it as a diagnosis for Arias. It was exceedingly obvious no one was buying it so come Monday, Wilmott asked the doc if ARias had it and he said "NO" and they moved on :what: It was like the shower scene in Dallas all those years ago when Bobby's death turned out to be a dream :giggle:

OK, I am one of those who TRIED to not get drawn in to this trial. Obviously, I did anyway. I have been watching the trial and reading here every day, and I have a question. How did Jodi gain entrance to Travis' home that day? Did she just show up on his doorstep and he let her in, or did she enter/let herself in while he was gone somewhere and was waiting on him when he returned? I've searched around and can't seem to find that info anywhere. TIA

Nobody knows for sure except Jodi, but judging from their lengthy phone conversations at 3 am and 4 am on June 2, lasting almost an hour total, where Travis was the caller (likely returning her calls) and their subsequent conversations lasting several minutes over the next day and a half, I think it's likely he knew she was coming, and agreed to it. Here's a link you may find helpful: http://www.hlntv.com/slideshow/2013/02/11/jodi-arias-trial-tragic-roadtrip

Travis' roommate Zach Billings told Detective Flores he saw Travis the morning of June 4 and Travis told him he'd only had 45 minutes' sleep. But Zach also thought he remembered seeing Travis that evening, so he may have had his dates mixed up.

Text messages show Travis repeatedly angry and/or frustrated with Jodi, and friends recalled fights long before that, but we know from Travis' own text messages that he kept taking her back. While he texted her the day she returned to Yreka (April 5 and 6) to stay out of his life, two weeks later he was sending her sweet texts saying "I am at a night club right now and it helped me to come to the conclusion that you are one of the prettiest girls on the planet" and another asking her to send him a naughty picture. In their recorded phone call of May 10, Travis tells Jodi he is coming to visit her in Yreka before he leaves for Cancun, that "You are at the top of the list."

So much for his previous texts to stay out of his life. I see no reason why he wouldn't have welcomed her voluntarily, notwithstanding his angry 5/26 texts. After all, a week after those texts he calls her twice and they talk almost an hour! And continue to talk on the phone for the next day and a half. She slashed his tires twice around Christmas 2007, he told friends she was stalking him, yet he went on vacation with her in March 2008. Despite telling her on April 6 to stay out of his life, his subsequent texts and steamy recorded phone call show he voluntarily remained engaged with her.

Jodi claims he was up watching videos on his computer when she entered the house (he didn't lock the doors) and watched him for a while before he noticed she was there. Since both Jodi and Travis were night owls, it is not unreasonable to believe she arrived around 4 am as she says, and that Travis told her he'd wait up for her. That part of her story sounds believable to me, especially since he'd called her at 3 am and 4 am on June 2 and talked for almost an hour then. Regardless of what time she arrived or how she got into the house, we know Travis and Jodi took nude photos of one another beginning at 1:40 pm on June 4.

btw Travis had only 25 mL, or 1.69 tablespoons of undigested food in his stomach when he died, according to the autopsy report. While Jodi is an inveterate liar, even the best liars weave bits and pieces of truth in their stories, and I think it's possible all he had to eat that day was a bowl of oatmeal, as she testified.

It's weird though, right? it's almost like, truly,he's making this up as goes along. He even gave stats on TGA...shaking my head. I think this jury will just throw out all of his testimony calling it unreliable. I think their questions indicate they are headed in that direction. IMO

I seem to recall that there was a juror question about TGA -- 3 or 8 people vs. 3 or 8 percent -- and he said the point he was trying to make was that amnesia is a real thing. Although frankly I think you nailed with "making this up as he goes along." He certainly doesn't give the impression that he knows what he's doing, for all his 35 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.

Having some work done to my home tomorrow, so I won't have my computer. What is the best way to get the trial on my Droid?

Sorry for the O/T.

i think the Ustream app works for droids too,

Download it and then search for azfamily.com Live stream for the trial is usually the first link that comes up.

LoL, Um Um Um Um I can't make up my mind!!!!! It's the fognesia.

:panic::panic::panic::panic:

At least yours is real vs. Jodi's fauxgnesia. ;)

Those were the only calls that were shown in court for 6/2/08 between them. I do believe that Travis was finally laying it all out there and telling Jodi that it was completely over. My belief of that comes from the disconnect between the two calls and then the immediate call back that Travis did. And yes, all of the calls on 6/3/08 are so short that it is very doubtful that Travis even answered them. I believe it was said in court that most, if not all, of them went to voicemail.

MOO

Yet despite this evidence she wants us (the jury and the public) to believe he had invited her to his home? Wouldn't the phone calls be longer? And despite her story of losing the phone charger, there is no communication with him letting him know exactly when she would arrive?

:waitasec:

I surely missed this, but is there any PROOF (written, recorded) that TA even knew she was coming to see him that night? Isn't it possible that she just showed up with her plans to convince (seduce) him to change his mind about taking her to Cancun? And when she didn't get her way, she carried out her plan?

I believe that TA and JA are the only humans who know for certain what they told each other on June 2 & 3 -- unless, for one of the very few times in her life, JA told someone else the truth about it, and they're not telling.

TA could have told someone else as well, but I think that individual would have come forward by now.

Katy, did you see the excellent blog that was posted earlier today? It is a must must must read for you.

Sent from my SCH-S720C using Tapatalk 2

I did see that blog (kristinarandle or something?) yesterday and thought it was BRILLIANT. I read every single article and I tweeted it ...and I don't tweet!

Completely disagree. She is letting JA have every opportunity to defend herself. She is giving lots of leeway so that she is not overturned in case she gets the DP.

That explanation has been excessively and inappropriately used too many times. IMO, this judge is lacking the maturity, intelligence and confidence to be presiding over a case like this.

That resume fits everything I've been told about her via Nicole.

Oh I believe you, I was just taken off guard with that earlier tweet. I don't care for that Maria, she puts herself into the camera too much for my taste.

To be honest katie, I think he WAS going to say that's what she had, but MAY have realized that it wasn't going to work, IF he watched the likes of Dr. Drew that very evening. Dr. Drew said HE has only seen that condition 3 times in his career and JA didn't have that. He went on to say that he didn't believe this guy would recognize it if he saw it.

I'm sure there's several other TH experts and such who weighed in on this and the doc realized he wasn't going to be able to use that excuse.

JMHO of course,
fran

Thank you!!! I also think, without doubt, that this man is watching the trial and the coverage. I also think he's winging his testimony and it won't get lost on the jury. I wish Juan would ask him two things : the definition of the word "veracity" (I know, that's totally gratuitous but I would love it) and why he went on and on about TGA only to say she doesn't have it. To clarify that for those, like me, who are still confused about his confusing testimony.

I'll say it. I'm disgusted by her.

I don't think he knew she was coming either.

This is the part that I struggle with the most, but then again the relationship was severely dysfunctional.

His text to her on 5/26 was so strongly worded that it gave the impression of a permanent break. The first three days of June, she called him a total of 14 times and he called her twice; I don't know the length of those calls. Then she calls out of the blue and says that she is going to pop in?

It is also difficult to understand consensual sex at this time. There is no way to ever know what really happened; I just have to accept what the photos suggest.

;) In this case "dramatically" can be interchanged with "inappropriately".

I'm also on a Disney fan website where we've been talking about this trial. We've been calling her the BBB lady. BBB stands for Bippity Boppity Boutique. Ths is a place at both Disney World and Disneyland where you can take your daughter and have a princess makeover done complete with princess outfit, fancy hairdos including glitter, and lots of makeup. :floorlaugh:

I totally agree with you. There is absolutely NO WAY she was expected and I also believe that there definitely wasn't as much sex going on in their relationship, as she would like us to believe. She brought the gun and the knife (still not sure if there was a sexual encounter that afternoon) and there was NO rope. Her testimony was so scripted it wasn't funny .. but she has had several years to go over different scenarios. Gah!!! Don't get me started. I am so agitated right now .... I seriously will not be able to handle it if she does not get what she deserves .. DP. And .. I am not even a proponent of the DP. :please:please dear jury ... do the right thing
And .. just a quick comment for discussion. She remembers the shot, she remembers basically nothing after that until she got to the desert. BUT she remembers dropping the knife and maybe putting it in the dishwasher (which was right in the middle of her dissociative amnesia attack). Hmm?

Go figure .... I'm sure Juan is gonna wrap it all up in a nice little gift-wrapped package for us. He is JUAN smart cookie .... Love him.:loveyou:

But what about the timestamped photos from the 4th of June?

I really can't grasp how it's legal for Dr. Samuels to make his diagnoses available for purchase...how can he have a license and do such a thing? Practically the same as peddling prescriptions.

Kathie, this is a must read for you and others...title sounds limited, but addessess your question and MORE. It was posted earlier by Laceybug and is FABULOUS!

http://kristinarandle.com/blog/jodi-arias-essays/

Yes that's it...love this blog. I read it and STILL was confused about these things....I guess that speaks as much to my own fognesia than anything.

Juan will clear it all up for us tomorrow I think. :rocker:
