After reading all of the comments about ALV's testimony yesterday....I am just not going to watch it. Sounds like it was nothing but JA's regurgitated lies. Complete BS IMO.

Not to mention it'll raise your blood pressure, and it's boring too.

To put the pieces of this case together I had to:

1. View autopsy/crime screne photos (including nude and shower pics).
2. Read all texts and email exchanges available to us sleuthers.
3. Watch everyday of trial.
4. NOT watch HLN.
5. Educate myself on mormonmism
6. Read Det. Flores report and autopsy report (Dr. Horn).
7. Read both MySpace accounts and blogs

I wish people would do this BEFORE they start theorizing.
Such a dreamer I am.

No I was not grateful at the time of having to go get those darn switches ..if ja thinks a wooden spoon leaves a welp she should have had my moms switches...yeow. And back then there was no CPS....so nowhere to compllain about it except to your siblings and they had no ...can I repeat that,,, they had NO sympathy.

I am so grateful now. I learned respect and self disipline and I havent abused people or animals. No I havent been a perfect person. Parents were good role models...but disciplined.

However, it is extremely hard for me to imagine a benign reason for suddenly wearing ribbons which only appear after the people supporting justice for Travis are admonished not to wear them (except for family). If they had been wearing them since Day 1, I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. But donning them only at this point cannot, in my mind, be interpreted in any positive or neutral way. It seems a callous and reprehensible act, very much like something Jodi would do. It's highly disturbing to me.

This comes across to me as heartless by Jodi's family. Its obvious that they are wearing the purple Domestic Violence Awareness ribbons, because and only because Travis family refuses to remove the blue ribbons that they have been wearing in memory of their murdered brother since the start of trial. --

Just kinda makes me feel like its Jodi's family giving a big ol F-U to his family.

There's no hair flipping, no spreading her legs, no real tears (except for herself when the detective leaves the room). She just sits there, not saying much -- just glaring.

It's obvious JA hates other women - in my mind. She does, however, want to know how to get her $240.00 into her inmate account. Nevermind that Ms. Detective is trying to get the true story out of her. What a self-absorbed little <unusual person>.

the bus stop. Since this jury is not sequestered nor provided with guards and chauffeurs, they are just ordinary citizens making their way in the world. They are sacrificing much already. If the court has concerns they can order safeguards. I am very hesitant about our voicing public criticisms of juror behavior for obvious reasons after what happened this week.

i may be wrong but, if i were a juror the last thing i would be doing is sitting around the court house at the end of the day. to my car and out of there. all day sitting waiting, waiting sitting. can't imagine lounging on a bench eating ice cream at the end of the day. really? jmo

Glad the Judge begged [! - my impression of the Judges demeanor when she asked the jurors] the jurors for an earlier start next week - 9:30am. Hope the Judge sticks to it / enforces it.

My wish list for the Judge: make executive decisions without sidebars for each and every stinking objection; and get in as many hours as possible to get this trial over with - for the jurors sakes; in an effort to avoid the higher probability of possible mistrial issues given a longer trial; for cost issues; and, for all of our sakes.

We've heard that JA was violent as a teenager, kicking the dog (in all likelihood killing it), kicking her mother for no reason, hitting her little brother over the head with a baseball bat etc. The signs were there that she was a very troubled kid and needed some sort of intervention but we've not heard that the mother or father did anything at that point in time.

So as far as her mother/father are concerned, I have no sympathy for them.

A friend of mine has a grandaughter who is a sociopath. the g-daughter's mother is a wonderful woman, but her kid is dangerous especially around animals if she's by herself. :what::furious: In that case, the mother enables that kid, she doesn't do anything because she's afraid to rock the boat. Or make life more difficult for herself. Meanwhile, the kid is in need of serious help.

The mother you're talking about may very well be a wonderful woman who just missed the signs of trouble in her kid, or was in denial (happens a lot, nobody wants to believe their kid needs help right?).:twocents:

I agree that all the signs were there with Jodi.

We can't forget though that her parents are being portrayed as abusive because they TRIED to discipline her.

She was abusive to her parents, siblings and pets. She sneaked out of the house. In our society we are dam&ed if we do and dam&ed if we don't. Maybe counseling would have helped...but only if she would go.

I almost think her defense may have broached an insanity plea for her but she would have refused. I also think it's possible that's why Samuels ran the tests he did...she wouldn't cooperate in a test that may have shown her to have a mental disorder.

I think her Mom acts inappropriately at times but I'm not convinced it's intentional. She may perk up at testimony that involves her and zone out at the rest. I can't imagine sitting through that for one of my kids.

I know that I would want to apologize to the victims family, but I'm not certain I'd know what to say that wouldn't ring hollow.

I know there are many that disagree with me, but for me, the only dispicable human in that court room is Jodi. And numerous victims, JMO.

Also, the detective keeps referring to Travis' parents as if they are alive - JA doesn't bother to tell her they are gone.

But, no, he had no ability to defend himself at that point. I was there. He was awake, but that bullet rattled his brain and IMO he would not have lifted his hands to ward off further attack. Thank god, bil was a sissy and took off.

JA checked out as soon as that woman opened her mouth. Never saw her that quiet!!!!!

After watching more of these interviews, I think it's clear she gets a big kick of of playing with these detectives. It's chilling to me-----even more than the TV interviews. She's not the least bit bothered by this whole thing.

A normal person who killed a guy they love, even in self defense, absolutely would not act this way.

These are a trip, aren't they? Do you know the female detective's name? I think she's doing a good job, but JA is responding so very differently to her than she does to handsome, mellifluous and male Detective Flores.
