Doubt she "likes" him but she'll milk him dry and use him as much as possible. He'd be smart to educate himself on sociopathy.

I do and yes it was brought up by Mr. Martinez to DB and DB denied that MM was but the way he denied this made me suspect that MM was there. And, now that I've observed Mr. Martinez in action, I'm even more convinced now that MM was there that day. I just haven't figured out why yet.

Agree. The closer it gets to Trial finishing I am sure we will see more. Gosh i lost track with CA's Defense Team filing motions.

Oh I'm sure he is and he should be. He's just bloviating smoke as usual. I mean the ENTIRE jury would have to be involved in some kind of misconduct to start this shindig all over again. It would have to be catastrophic for that to even be considered.

I think this is all attempting to disarm Martinez. He knows the most devastating part of the entire trial is coming: the rebuttal case. He's posturing.

No mistrial is coming....this Judge is seriously protecting the record. Juror misconduct/prosecutorial misconduct is all he's got to work with as what's happening in the courtroom is flawless to his murderer client.

I read a few pages back there will only be 2 days of trial this week. Could someone clarify. I know we have trial tomorrow and never on Friday so wondering what the other day is for no trial.

The only other thing that came to mind... KatieDDJ and the guest said last week that they've seen jurors talking to each other during sidebars and stuff. I don't remember exactly what was said but they were talking about jurors forming bonds. Aren't they not allowed to talk at all until deliberation? I think I asked that on the legal thread and they said it was not allowed on criminal trials. Any chance that's what it's about? It would explain why JA kept staring and getting JW's attention.

I just want to add that I think it would have to be something HUGE for the judge to grant a mistrial. The defense is going to nitpick everything they can because they know it's not going well for them! I would be pizzed! Not only would that make all of this one long practice trial for her, but it would be $1.4+ million of our tax money down the drain!

That's what I don't understand. If one has done something that is the reason to have alternates.

It still scares me because I do not trust the court system. Seems like defence team slimy tactics are becoming the norm for these high profile cases.

I know how I feel when I see/read such things and it feels like I am punched in the stomach because I worry that these shenanigans may work.

I cannot even imagine how Travis' family must feel.

I'm a firm believer that the DT knows that they are riding a sinking boat so they are doing everything they can. Of course they got the right to do that, but then it is a waste of time in my opinion.

It was reported on HLN, I believe, that this person was out having ice cream on Thursday, too, after court. So either the judge didn't ask about any of the juror's sitting outside or it was decided nothing was wrong with them sitting there.

The real issue is HLN complaining about it when there doesn't seem to be a problem. HLN should not be revealing who the juror is by constantly describing this person as sitting outside the courthouse eating an ice cream. If JC had an issue with it she probably should have brought it to attention of the District Attorney's office. Going on National TV and announcing it without this person having any knowledge seems unfair to the juror. If they were out again on Thursday obviously they were still clueless or determined that they would not be denied that ice cream they deserved after sitting through ALV recitation. lol Good lord, these jurors are not under house arrest. And they wonder why juror don't want to be on juries.
