Gus?

The only things he murdered were his own credibility and LegalShield's reputation.

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Stop you're killing me!

They can't get a loaf of bread without seeing the tabloids at the checkout stand. So it's not just TV.
And god forbid their spouse/lover or family member has CNN on in the den. They'd overhear "Bombshell! Jodi Arias is in trouble on the stand...." or something like that.
They need to be sequestered. I'm not saying they won't do the right thing but it's a different time than it was in 1776!!

Wow your skewering me lol, you know I posted something similar to this a while back.
I don't see how it can be avoided.

Does anyone know if Ms. Arias fought her extradition from Ca to Az ? TIA.

The magazines never got to MM. Jodi gave them to a female friend that came visit her to give to MM. The magazine messages were discovered by a guard at the prison since the check everything going in or out. They found the messages written in the magazines, confiscated them from Jodi's female friend and handed them over to law enforcement. They never got to MM.

As for the supposed accomplice, there wasn't one. Had there been there is NO question whatsoever that Jodi would blame the murder on them and kept silent and made up stories of what happened because she was in fear of the "person that killed Travis". That would be a HECK of a lot more believable than her ridiculous self-defense story. She could easily say this accomplice went wit her to visit Travis with her having no idea that they wanted to kill him, and she was threatened by them to not interfere and if she breathed a word of it to anyone they'd kill her. Having an accomplice would be the easiest way for her to be found not guilty, and there is NO POSSIBLE WAY that she wouldn't throw such an accomplice under the bus had there been one. She decided on her own to kill Travis and did it on her own.

Besides, every person she knew had an alibi for where they were at the time of the murder, and LE would have checked that out. They were sceptical at first of her having been able to get Travis down the hallway and back in the shower on her own anyway at first, so there's no question that they would look into whether or not she could have had an accomplice.

Thank you and all others who helped to clear up my questions about the jailhouse magazine. :seeya:

Just wanted to say again that I didn't want to leave the impression that I ever thought MM or any other person was an accomplice to the murder. I was just answering a hypothetical question that somebody asked about.

Sorry if this has already been answered, but are there actual pictures of Travis and JA having sex on the day she butchered him?

No, I don't want to see them LOL, just wondering if there is proof?

According to Flores, yes... something like six more photos of them actually having sex. There are more photos of them than the ones that have been shown in court or publically. Since both sides agree that they had sex before she killed him, only the few naked pictures on his bed were necessary to show that. If JM wanted them all in as evidence, Nurmi would have surely had them excluded since they weren't necessary and probably considered too pornographic. I can see the judge and even JM willing to allow them to be kept out... BOTH sides agree that they had sex before Jodi killed him, so just the naked photos are sufficient. I can also see both sides thinking that they could be prejudicial to either Jodi or Travis and be happy to keep them excluded.

You know what I'd really like to see JM do when he gets up for his cross of ALV. Ask her one question: "Ms. LV, everything that you have just testified to could also apply to a male if he were a victim as you have described, isn't that correct?" When she answers, which would be a yes.....JM says, "No other questions." BAM. No re-cross. What can JW possibly say????

Trust me wilmott would take a full day to re cross lol

I have been much behind on this case, and am trying to find answers to various things. Would anyone be so kind as to fill me in on the following questions I have? (TIA)

1. Jodi said she got gas cans to save money on gas out-of-state. Did anyone do the math on that, i.e. look up what average gas prices were in June 2008 in the pertinent states, in order to see what the real difference was? AND add to that the cost of the cans? did she attempt to fill her cans on the way home, too? (LOL, I am thinking NOT).

The fact that she filled up in California blew her original explanation. Like her underwear, she changed it with no trepidation to "she felt safer having extra gas seeing she was riding through the desert"

2. Jodi said, as part of her "woe is me the victim of DV," that she lent Travis money to the tune of roughly $1200, and to her own demise; including getting NSF charges from her bank, late fees, etc. I recall her saying one loan to him was $699. Was it ever established that Travis was short on cash, or otherwise in over his head financially at any point? Were his own bank records evaluated? i find this to be a curious accusation on her part, since he was paying her to clean his house? I do not believe he would have borrowed money from her -ever.

Hasn't been established that I know of but he did sell her his car which, she wrecked. So it's rumored those were payments BACK to him as restitution.

3. Were there any receipts that verified when Travis bought his new camera, and for how much?
Someone, maybe Chris Huges or Dan Freeman? verified he had just purchased the camera not too long before.

4. And to add to that, did anyone ever testify as to how he treated his, "toys?" i.e. Was he the type to not care so much about expensive stuff, or to fly off the handle when someone so much as leaned against his car, or messed with his laptop, for example?

If Jodi said it then........

5. Going back over Lohr's unedited interrogation tapes, does anyone listen to it with fresh ears, i.e. be able to take some of the lies and apply them to truths, now that more testimony is complete? I mean, for example: Her lies were that he was shot by intruders...was conscious, etc..she repeated that a couple of times...and spoke in relative detail about that. Could this be an indication that he really was shot first? (little truths in big lies?)

I don't know if you've been personally following my posts but the intruder story makes a lot of sense compared to her story now though.....

6. Has there been any hearings or testimony as to Travis' level of anger containment? Or does the jury only get to hear Jodi's version of his problems?

The Defense got some to say he had a temper (Desiree Freeman I think it was)but Juan got her to say it was a one time no-big deal occurrence IIRC.

7. Was it ever established that Travis actually bought that T-shirt and undies he allegedly mailed her on V-Day? Obviously they were custom made, so someone, somewhere would have record of it. SOMEONE made that T-shirt. Online order? Did anyone try to track it down?

I don't know about this one but what I do find interesting is, I don't see one Hallmark, Birthday or Christmas card or trinkets or heard about Travis sending any flowers or gifts to Jodi ever!! I don't think Travis had the same feelings as Jodi had so it's likely she made that up.

8. Were any of Jodi's clothing recovered? (i.e. sweatpants)
I doubt it

9. Were there any forensic findings in the Ford Focus.
If there was, it wasn't mentioned that I know of

Gosh, I am a little greedy with my questions! I would appreciate insight if anyone can shed some light:-) Peace to you all, and to Travis' family and friends this Easter Sunday.

Okay, who do I send my bill to? :floorlaugh:

I think she may have discovered Mimi was the true ticket holder to Cancun from snooping in email or Facebook. She also mentions in the tapes that she was "disappointed" that Travis didn't come see her sing the National Anthem at an event on May 24th.

She also saw, IIRC, TA's writing about the type of woman he wanted to marry, and even all-about-me JA could see that he wasn't speaking of her. So that was one more log to throw on the flames of JA's fiery rage for TA.

And yes, that hateful cutesy-pie, Mimi. I'm sure JA saw poor Mimi in her head and just got angrier & angrier... and I, too, think she liked knives, and there are plenty around almost any restaurant kitchen. Sharp, strong knives.

BBM~ Here is Mimi's testimony *AUDIO ONLY* That's all there is and I don't know why? :what:

Jodi Arias Trial Day 1 (Audio Only) - YouTube
I was very moved by this woman's sincerity and all round goodness. Even though there is no video, this testimony is worth a listen to help understand what it means to have been raised with Mormon doctrine. When her voice cracks as she describes going into TA's house, it just broke my heart - and with my more than "35 years of experience," that's not easy to do.

She said Hoover dam, but maybe just maybe she said Hoover to throw. LE off who may have followed her trial in pursuit of the gun.

She speaks about doing map quest to plan out her route...other than emails and such, we haven't heard much of what else was on her computer. Map Quest should leave a trail if she did obtain maps there.

I'm not sure about the Hoover dam either as her plates would have been upside down. I tend to think that would have been noticed at the checkpoint . However in the interrogation tapes she does talk about being on the 93. If you follow that out of Mesa - it goes right through Kingman and 57 miles north of Kingman is where her cell pinged a tower after being off. The 93 runs to the Hoover dam, 57 miles north of Kingman would place her about 5 miles from the dam on 93. The 93 bypasses the dam and goes over to Boulder City, which she claims she went through. Who knows other than her who cannot be trusted.

ITA. Mimi was definitely a rage trigger for her -- ironically, since Jodi didn't realize that Mimi had decided a "friends" posture was best with Travis. In the end, Jodi assumes that all women think as she does and are equally predatory.

I can't believe I looked up the answer to how long it would take her to return to, um, normal, but found a site with many people saying essentially the same thing, "your body will always close up your anus after a few minutes (in most cases, seconds) to stop foreign bacteria from entering." :blushing:

All right, I'll fess up to being dared by a friend to ask that question at a Planned Parenthood appt years ago. Got that same info--no, regardless of how much consenual back door action one took, it's extremely unlikely that one's back door wouldn't return to its, uh, closed position, in a reasonable amount of time. The nice PP lady was even so kind as to go consult with other medical professionals to confirm and they all concurred that the sphincter muscle is incredibly powerful, so, unless damaged in a way consensual activity is unlikely to cause, it, uh, retains elasticity.

Whew, the discussions I've had on WS--bras, feces and toilet designs, and now anal elasticity...good times :floorlaugh:

I don't believe Jodi when she claims she hardly ever did anal before. I'd say it was a heavy traffic area. Some things just never go back the way there were.

Oh tooo

I really believe MM was involved one way or another too. She visits and stays with him and his girlfrend on the way to Mesa, she calls him at some point on that drive after the murder, she is on her way to see him to return books (lol) on the day she is arrested, she tried to get him the coded message in the magazine, ..... I wonder if he has an airtight alibi as to where he and his girlfirend were June 3rd and 4th. I have gone so far as to think they were the two ninjas. Jodi was taking the photos of Travis and had him vulnerable and cornered and MM comes in and shoots him but he isn't killed. In tape 14, she says she didn't see it but she heard the pop, then says Travis was on all fours, holding his head, screaming, saying go get help, and she also says she hears "who is that, who is that" she talked in detail about Travis becoming weak, having a hard time moving, being conscious, she mentions she hit her head-(what has now been all packaged up by her as the body slam---bs)...but maybe she hit her head because she fell back because maybe Travis actually lunged or fell toward her to protect her at first

I am not entirely convinced that another person was there. But, this is EXACTLY the type of thinking I was referring to earlier, i.e. listening with a different filter.... two ninjas, one male, one female (her). It would make sense that he was instructed to either shoot or finish it off. An awful lot of attempted clean up also happened in very short order for one person. I have to admit that i still have a hard time accepting her (anyone!0 slicing his throat they she did. One other thing that she said in the interr tapes was that "if it were me, then I would kill him in a very humane way." Now why did she include that little tidbit? I did not recall her being told the number of stabs + the throat. Was her final slicing somehow her version of, "humane" -if he were struggling, begging for his life, spitting and coughing up blood? Makes me wonder if she ever experienced have to take a deer down like that or something...you know...put the animal out of its misery? Ewe. makes me wanna vomit typing these thoughts. So sorry.

All her "friends" were check out. That is how they found out about the gas cans.

Couldn't of taken to long to check her friends out, since she had so few.

I don't know who it was but an interesting post someone mentioned NINJAS is an anagram of JA's name.

I personally believe that Mr. Martinez has Matt McCartney in his back pocket and is going to bring him out in the Rebuttal case. I think MM KNOWS something about the knife/gun because Mr. Martinez has been saying throughout trial that McCartney is someone that won't "BETRAY" you will he? This has been emphasized over and over. So it makes me think there is something REALLY HUGE in store for the ole lying murderer. Also, i asked the question earlier regarding the Jury and if they REALLY follow the admonitions to NOT partake in reading the news, media etc. and I think they have to KNOW how big this case is when they are coming in and out of court as they have to see the massive amount of National Media posted all around the Courthouse???? They just have to see it and if the do see it, that has to tell them something? Also, I just do not see how they could NOT hear about the case. It's everywhere, print media, TV, radio, internet..unless the jury completely disconnects everything in their lives. I would bet that at least ONE juror has nibbed about this case. The odds would make me think so anyway....I just hope they do their job and find her guilty as charged. Anything less than the Death Penalty will be a win for the Defense and that cannot happen. It just CANNOT, I don't think I could bear another Jury failure like the Anthony case.

I don't think either side wants Matt anywhere near the stand. Neither side can be sure of how he will testify... the defense would be afraid that he wouldn't lie for Jodi, and the prosecution would be afraid that he would lie for Jodi. We've likely seen the last of Matt.

I had another question, if someone knows, I would appreciate it.

Did anyone notice that Travis had a sleigh-bed style bed? What was her version of what they tied the bondage twine up to? Seems to me it would be rather impossible to secure rope to that bed, right? It's not like it was a 4-poster where you can wrap rope around the posts!

I think you're right, but JM would have the advantage --because he can trot out Matt's public statement that he would lie for JA at any moment, so that would defuse any possible benefit to the defense -- hence, they won't call him. Frankly, I don't think the State needs him even if he had less baggage, but getting him to say out loud that JA had suborned perjury (regarding the broken finger) would certainly nail the door shut for her.
