I'm not sure how much he told, but I did see his friend(s) say this in an interview. I'm assuming he went to the Bishop, as I'd heard that prior to seeing his friends on the tv. We have a member here, unfortunately I can't recall her name, but she used to be Mormon and she explained the whole process.
I think I understood the ONE who goes to their Bishop first, get's the lightest reprimand and penance I THINK. IF the second person doesn't go to their Bishop or denies the allegations, they can be removed from the Church, I THINK.
I personally believe TA was remorseful for what he'd done and desperately wanted to atone.
See, when the abuser breaks up with their target, they always think they can get them back.
It's possible they had sex when she came back that day, because it was the only weapon she had. OTOH, I also think it's possible they did not have sex that day, and then she realized he was NOT going to change his mind, he was done with her.
So, she killed him.
