I think he is a flight risk, they have to much evidence.

  • #102
wow, they're really outlining the entire case here - I didn't expect all these details

  • #103
did the prosecutor say they do or do not have the murder weapon and if so, where did they find it?

  • #104
Hernandez home security recorded him walking through his home with large caliber black handgun. He is seen going into basement and recording stops.

Hernandez was upset about something that happened at a club in Boston. Said he couldn't trust anyone anymore

DA asking he be held without bail

I am surprised also, I have not seen an arraignment before.

defense lawyer calls the hype surrounding the case a 'hysterical atmosphere'

  • #107
He has an 8 mo old baby

Defense atty arguing for bail. That Hernandez is a homeowner. Lives with fiancé and 8 month old child. He knew he was in trouble and has not fled. Will submit to monitoring and supervision.

ok, so the defence notified the D.A. last week when Hernandez would be driving around doing errands and including when he went to visit his lawyer so I guess we know who alerted the media who were following him around in their helicopter

No bail

Judge has discretion as to bail in first degree murder case.
Orders Hernandez held without bail.

defence wants order restricting public comment so as not to prejudice potential jurors against his client

  • #113
arghh I keep losing the feed now

  • #114
affidavit will remain sealed for now I think?

next court date July 24

He looks pretty calm considering he was 1) arrested and charged with murder, 2) released from the Patriots, and 3) denied bail all TODAY

  • #116
I have to say though, with everything that was brought forth, he doesn't seem like a very intelligent dude. Maybe he's oblivious to how serious this is?

I would be a complete mess whether I was guilty or not. He doesn't look like he's lost a wink of sleep. I don't think he's guilty and I can't explain why I feel that way but I have from the beginning. All the circumstantial clues seem to point to his guilt but I can't shake my initial 'gut' reaction.

Glad to hear they were able to get the video tape even though he smashed the machine.

That is interesting you should say that. Remind us about your comment if he is found innocent. I have had a feeling he is guilty and was surprised it took them this long to charge him.

Jane McManus ✔ @janesports Important to note that prosecution's assertions may not all hold up in court. It's a compelling narrative, but Hernandez isn't yet guilty.

That is true, I suppose they can say anything at this point.
