I sure hope that one or more of the female jurors aren't infatuated with this murderer.

That happened in the Jason Williams case. IMO

Hoping justice will be served!

I read that AH will go on trial for the Boston murders in May. Anyone know if that will be live? And what about EW and CO trials? Are there dates set for them and will they be live like AH trial was?

Also, are there any "threads" yet on these other court cases for AH? TIA!

I have only followed this case a little bit in the news.

I have seen enough to think he is guilty and should be convicted. I think this is a fairly simple case from what I saw.

Circumstantial but solidly circumstantial IMO.

He is on video with a gun right after the murder. And even if he did not shoot the guy he is just as guilty as the rest of them because they all went in the car together.

Just like if a robbery on a store clerk ends up in death. The getaway driver is also guilty so same here IMO. We know he was present so he should be convicted IMO.

And when I see how he is acting and reading all the extra stuff about him it puts it over the top for guilty for me.

This guy was out of control and needed to be stopped. Its a sad case because he had so much going for him and he threw it all away.

I have to wonder if steroids and the PCP contributed to his poor decisions. I only suspect steroids because he was a big football player and not sure if he even was tested for steroids. The PCP I think was talked about in the news. He seemed like he liked to hang around the bad crowd.

AH has been shooting people for a very long time. I am really interested in getting a clearer picture of his early teen years in Bristol.

Actually, I think his big old smile is phony. I think he is pretending like everything is A-OKAY. But he must be miserable as he!! when he gets back to he stinky concrete cell.

He can smile big and yuck it up through all 5 of his next trials as far as I'm concerned. Because I don't think he is going to be a free man for a long time, if ever. :jail:

NYT June 26, 2013
[...] In his final moments alive, Lloyd texted his sister to alert her. When she asked whom he was with, he answered, “NFL,” and added, “Just so you know.”

Further detail regarding the text message -- which Judge Garsh ruled did not conform to the exceptions of the hearsay rule (previously cited in an earlier part of this thread) -- can be found here.

Judge Garsh's ruling was appealed by the Commonwealth, but the Supreme Judicial Court reaffirmed Judge Garsh's ruling.

The following is an explanation by an attorney of what is/was involved. (See here)

My personal feeling is that Odin Lloyd's text ought to have been admissible not only under the 'dying man's declaration' but also because his text messages -- leading up to the redacted NFL-text message -- lay a solid groundwork for an inference that Odin Lloyd had deep concerns about what was about to transpire.

Fortunately the jury may be able to infer "his worry" based upon the sequence of timestamped messages leading up to the redacted "NFL text" because all further communication from Odin Lloyd's cellphone abruptly ends miutes after that message.

I also feel the text message should hve been included under "dying man's final statement...He knew he was about to die.

The thing that gets me, all through the trial the defense said... "it wasn't a gun it was a remote". Then at the end... "he was there but didn't pull the trigger".

as a juror if i had sat through all of these months listening to the testimony....and at the 11th hour Sultan declares his client was there but just a bystander...I would really question the whole defense. Some commentators indicate it was a smart move but considering their client I don't know if I could believe that...and also if I were McCauley I would have some good protection because I would not be surprised if ah will be sending more of "his boys" to pay him a visit. He is one scary guy that NFL>

Hoping for a guilty verdict!

Sorry guys... I'm kind of a mes.... Got home from hubby's surgery..... Mom was there. After feeling everything went good....Get a call from mom... she is in the er... can't breathe.... shortness of breathe;;;;;;

:sigh:

Just started reading this thread, so forgive this being so "late" -- Prayers for your hubby and your mom -- and especially for you, too. In many cases, the one who is "sick" (generically speaking) has the easiest time of all -- I went through some very tuff stuff years ago, so I have been in it from a patient's perspective as well as in other situations from a close family member's perspective. I hope you can get a breath every now & then and get rest & sleep as you can, sweet Softail. Again good, positive thoughts for you and your folks, and prayers going up. ((hugs))

I feel exactly the same way. I am astonished that it wasnt admitted.

I just got off the phone with someone I was speaking with about this case, but I suggested that Sultan beef up his life insurance policy ;). I dont know that the 11th hour admission is going to work well for his client.

Stunned isn't powerful enough for me. Jaw dropping and angry would be better for me.

Hey kids, let's not forget the Robert Durst trial as long as we're talking horrendous verdicts.

Like one of Durst's jurors went on vacation with him - next we'll be seeing CMJA's juror visit her in prison.

The thing that bothers me about that though is EACH victim should be given the justice they deserve. From what I have been able to read this was in no way 2nd degree. I hate cases where I think the jury compromised.

This man seems to be a killing machine.

It boggles my mind that he had so many opportunities in life to better himself yet he took the murder route. Its like he has this compulsion to kill others.

IMO

But the thing is....these jurors probably haven't heard of any other victims, just like I hadn't until last night when I watched the CNN special. I mean, that is the way it should be because it has to be on a case by case basis, but you see what I mean. They don't know about the guy he shot in the eye, or the drive-by shooting, etc..

If I was the witness to a murder and then found myself Falsely accused of that mrder, I wouldn't be laughing and joking it up in trial. I would be earnestly explaining the situation to the jury. I would give the gory details of how I ended up in that horrible situation. I just don't think the jury is going to believe that explanation. Those post-murder videos are very damning, imo. He looks very comfortable hanging out with the guy he accuses of being a crazed pcp killer. He even brings them back home to his family in the middle of the night.

Has the DT ever given an explanation for that little middler of the night ride to the deserted industrial park? That ride sounds like premeditation if there is no other explanation for what they were planning to do there at 3 am. JMO
