Yep, for some reason, after being drafted & playing in the pros with a great team, buying an amazing house, beautiful girlfriend/baby, having just about anything he wanted, making new friends (I assume) on the ball team, etc., etc. -- he is somehow drawn back to his old buds on the ruff side of town, STS. For a feeling of superiority? I don't think so exactly -- I think he's more comfortable with his home boys & maybe the feeling of success does make him feel superior. Who knows why?? SMH.

Thanks so much for the updates!! I have been stuck in appointments today. I knew he was going to blame it on Bradley... Baez always blames it on someone else!

I'll have to watch on archive. I'll post links later for anyone else who may have missed it too.

Wow, he really said this???

Laurel J. Sweet‏ @Laurel_Sweet
Baez: @bostonpolice didn't care about "two dead black guys on the side of the road" until #AaronHernandez turned up. Then, "it was all in,"

I read Shannaya was there also & left. No ring on finger. So who's putting her up in Boston... not her sister!

:gaah:Oh MAN!! How sleezy can def. get~~ asking the sister all about Bradley, Ms. Furtado says brother did not do drugs... did not know Bradley then proceeds to ask if ME told her that in fact he had drugs in hs system? then DID her brother have an argument with Bradley?

Nothing like sneaking in vilifying her deceased brother!! :gaah:

Baez trying to minimize AH's drug use---" LOTS of NFL players use marijuana to heal their injuries.. we will show evidence of that."

Ooookkkaaayyy.... I'd like to see THAT evidence! I don't think so...
:tyou: katydid for the updates! Can't believe I missed this - I was out shopping....

hmmm.....

snipped by me...
Baez naming other Patriot players, implying AH went to clubs with Gronkowski etc.

Wondering if HE is going to be a witness?? Sorry, I didn't hear Baez mention Gronkowski as using marijuana, just that he went out to clubs with Aaron?? Thanks for the link to his Opening Statements LyndyLoo!!

Was there really a video of "what happened" inside and the police "lost it", as Baez says?? Or the cameras weren't working, and there is no video??

Is that the prosecutor table in front of the defense table? They don't sit side-by-side?

Okay I had to  on Baez's "hmmmmmmm, as the electric seat goes down"!!!

What's with the ringing bell in the background? Fire alarm!!??

Now will to listen to the testimony...

THAT darn alarm went on forever. I don't understand why it was never turned off. Kind of glad it was happening while Baez was trying to sell the jury his BS though. Hopefully they tuned him out.

Baez is such a creep.

He is trying to taint these innocent victims—make it seem like they are drug addicts/dealers and they were involved in some bad drug deal gone wrong—that is total BS, and he knows it.

I hope the jury sees through that slime he is trying to cover the victims with. They are poor, hard working immigrants. NO WAY they were running in the same social circles as AH and his high priced pot dealer.

Bumped link for this morning viewers:

:bump:

watched the open last night. First no attorney (even Baez) should have to give their opening statement with that alarm going off...no attorney. I thought something was wrong with my laptop. That is just stupid.

As for the opening of Baez...he raised about 50 potential elements of reasonable doubt...I am totally new to this case and frankly he is a good salesman. I can't stand AH and feel comfortable he is gone for the rest of his life but am concerned that the family of the victims in this current trial are going to be very diasppointed when he is not held accountable for his murder. I think he did it but Baez may get him off..... Baez is super sleezy but may connect with the jury.

I was going to turn it on and then I realized that they would probably be breaking for lunch...they might also have it on the local networks in Boston or the 12:00 news (updates) on all of the local channels (nbc 7, abc 5, cbs 2, fox 25)...which all stream

Yes, after watching Baez's opening statements, it would SEEM like he has lots of areas of reasonable doubt. HOWEVER, when the trial plays out, I don't think he will be able to make that case. He made it sound like the 2 victims were involved in the drug trade and were connected to Bradley. I don't think the jury is going to believe that.

And he is going after the Boston police, calling it a conspiracy against AH. I am not sure the jury will believe that in the end. There is too much circumstantial evidence that points to AH being the shooter, and not the so-called victim.

The two working class, minimum wage paid immigrants were not and never were, part of AH's social circle. They did not know Bradley, nor did they buy the high priced premium pot that Bradley sold to AH. They ran in very different social circles. I think the jury will figure that out.

AH shot them like dogs in the street. I think the jury will see that without much doubt.

afternoon testimony:

Paramedic Murphy, had arrived upon the crime scene

He was the one who threw 'clean sheets' over the 2 dead in the car as a 'sign of respect' and because there were press and gawkers on scene

[ Baez had accused the cops of 'disrespecting' the victims by throwing sheets over them]

ETA:

http://boston.cbslocal.com/2017/03/01/aaron-hernandez-trial-begins-opening-statements-double-murder/

He added that Abreu and Furtado’s bodies were “desecrated” by police when they were left under a sheet in their car as it was towed–and said a street sweeper was allowed to pass down the street, disturbing the integrity of the crime scene.

Entirely arriving to case right now. Been MIA and missing all y'all.

  • #379
female defense attorney being very aggressive and condescending towards the EMT. I don't think the jury is going to like that.
