As the State sets up for the DNA on this case, something hit me --

This last witness kept banning naming AW and BW, because obviously it's their DNA (and where it was found) that's central to this case.

Guessing we are going to hear the scientific proof behind the details we've heard that BW's DNA is on the hacksaw from which AW's DNA was recovered.

The last time AW and BW's DNA combined in such an intimate was was in... the conception of their children.

HDV is such an utter violation. He murdered the mother of his children. The woman he vowed to cherish and protect (or whatever version of vows they chose). Those same children, with AW and BW's combined DNA, are forever motherless, with a father who allegedly murdered and dismembered her. In their own home. Layer upon layer of violation.

And a trial to make it just that much worse. He chose not to plead guilty, knowing the evidence against him. IMO that only exposes the enormity of his ego, the absense of shame, and the lack of love for anyone but himself. No genuine father does any of this.

This morning's testimony has been focused on forensics. We know Gem Mutlu is at the courthouse ready to testify - likely after lunch. Gem was friends with the Walshe's and the last person to see Ana Walshe alive, except for Brian Walshe. Gem was with the couple at their house on NYE and left around 1:30 am. The judge must anticipate a lot of objections/sidebars during his testimony because the CW went to call him earlier, and she asked if they had other witnesses so they could keep the morning moving.
