BW nodding his head yes to his interview is weirdness. Like oh yeah, that part was actually true.

Walshe tells Sgt about his art fraud case and that he’s on home confinement. He says he was just writing Ana a “love note about how we could flourish under difficult circumstances”.

Walshe tells Sgt. Ana “kept saying she was pale recently”. He said when she comes to #Cohasset it’s not restful with the kids.

Prosecutor questions Sgt about his search following interview. Sgt says he: flagged Ana’s passport to see if she took any flights, had police in DC check her townhouse, called Ana’s sister, had fire dept drain houses pool.

The next day, Sgt says he contacted Ana’s friends & family, created missing bulletin, checked financial records, did a K9 search of woods behind house, checked with airport police, cab companies, lift-share companies.

Fortunate for BW that Anna switched her cell phone plan over to the employer's and did not remain on the family plan.

The defense claims Ana died from sudden unexplained death in the early hours of New Year’s Day 2023, arguing Walshe discovered her lifeless body after cleaning the kitchen and panicked.

“You will hear evidence in this case [about] sudden unexplained death… It happens in young people and old, male and female,” defense attorney Larry Tipton told the jury.

The defense says Walshe’s internet searches—central to the prosecution’s case—reflect his confusion and fear for his three children, not premeditation.

Norfolk County Prosecutor Greg Connor, however, painted a starkly different picture, alleging Walshe killed Ana and then tried to cover it up. Prosecutors detailed chilling searches on Walshe’s MacBookstarting January 1 at 4:54 a.m., including:

  • “Best way to dispose of a body”
  • “How long for someone to be missing to inherit?”
  • “How long missing to be dead”
