Central casting must have heard me. BW is wearing another sweater today, black as coal his soul.

Already in a sidebar, requested by the State, to discuss their other witnesses for today.

Iirc she has defended him, she may have even lied for him. I will see if I can find it.
IMO She's all in. He is her only child and golden boy - screw up or not.
She is paying for his legal defense and blowing him kisses in court

If you stroll around the internet there is plenty of info out there that can educate you about this woman's history and who she appears to be

My guess is that she did not like Ana. Not good enough for her son.
BW parents divorced when he was about 8/9yrs old. BW stayed with her.
He is her everything along with the grandkids imo
She hired the PI to find out about an affair
She has paid for him/enabled him his whole life

So what does she think ?

IMO She probably thinks he was too careless and should never have been caught. But she cries no tears for Ana or the three boys. Whats done is done. She'll get the best she can for her boy and get the custody of the kids/visitation rights with her and their Dad if she can .

As far as what happened - She views it all as Ana's fault. Ana caused it all.

Just my take/ My opinion only

Hoping one of those other witnesses is the PI his mother hired

Outside of the jury

Cem Mutlu

Mr. Mutlu had a long conversation with Ana.

She was burdened by the long distance arrangement (because of BW's situation -- i.e. house arrest) without her children.

She had marital issues, seeking therapy for all of the stresses in her life.

Mr. Mutlu recalls another lengthy conversation. BW's charges were taking their toll. Financial stress.

He is being very very careful about what he says.
“Does not recall with precision …”

[It feels like the State didn't prepare this witness well. State having trouble pulling specific details from him. He seems really nervous, understandable.]

Security close to BW

NYE, he was sitting next to Ana, directly side by side.

She was texting multiple people.

Ana took their photo, he says Ana said let's send it to WF.

Which he can't recall with precision.

He JUST told this to the Prosecutor yesterday.

Judge is querying the witness directly.

Trying to differentiate what he feels or believes but what he recalls.

I'm not sure how helpful Gem is for the prosecution.

I wonder why they can't refresh his memory with his statement to the police at the time it was fresh in his mind.

But I can imagine how much BW doesn't love him right now.

I think they will, once the jury is in.

Exactly - the state dropped thew ball on this one - he never refreshed his memory with the info he gave LE in a lengthy interview - like forever ago - the P should have gone over that with him. Having said that he appears a reluctant witness even with Ana savagly murdered. He is uncomfortab;le on the stand imo
Brian was his initial friend and then Ana actually worked for his realestate firm and they became friends .
