Stipulations about his pleas... wire fraud, etc.

BW wanted probation and restitution. Feds wanted 36 months incarceration abd restitution of $475,000.

I think this witness pulled if off at the end
"Ana told Brian she was falling out of love with him" and did not love him "as much" presumably as before."

She was strong overall

Definitely. She did great.
The State could have done better (with her).

Ana's two friends were so emotional and sad and yet BW seems fine.

Hopefully the closing will be powerful. Hopefully.

She was. Mentioned that BW would ask AW how much she loved him. He wouldn't say ILY to her very often.

Tomorrow aT 9AM back at it
I suspect this is the time the D always asks/motions for all charges to dropped bc CW hads not proven the case.
That will get denied
and we will see if they have witnesses

Defense says the Commonwealth has not met the burden for premeditation and intent to kill.

  • #2,150
Defense says the CW has proven a financial motive. Has not shown the BW was using the children to avoid prison. No evidence he was aware of an affair.

Motive not an element....

Says their whole case is one of circumstantial motive.

Commonwealth responds with a formal statement that the evidence shows AW died a violent death in the living space of the home.

Line by line, nailing it.

This is going to be one hell of a closing argument.

I was holding my breath. I don't watch many trials tbh
The motion is standard in every trial I've followed.

  • #2,158
When will the jury hear the two pleas?

I'm a noob I didn't get a pre-warning, no disclaimer, no heads up, nothing! 😁

Focus has been on Ana's affair, but honestly, what was BW bringing to the marriage? Fraud. Control. Paranoia, even if founded. Lack of intimacy.

What executive did he expect her to stay faithful to? He was a babysitter but also, because of his drawn out case, he was keeping her from being with her children, in DC, and fulltime. Because of him, she was commuting. He clearly wasn't putting her needs anywhere.

And after all that, he murders her too.

I swear, narcissists can stand on your oxygen tube and be irate at you, for their discomfort underfoot.
