I hope for their sakes that they get to eat lunch (pasta??) before those gruesome displays end up on their table with them.

Google says a juror can say no or express reluctance about being a foreperson and the judge will pick someone else.

First time seeing live on our local news. Amazing the diff in judge, as it should be. Disgusted me to see his def. atty' give him a 'reassuring' touch of her hand on his arm. WHAT is wrong and biased of her. One thing to be a defense atty, this was a 'bit' far of someone that she KNOWS and saw what he did, admittedly, to another human being, a small woman. IMO. Now the wait and I feel first degree, I don't think this jury will want less if legally possible. IMO

I always play this game when the jury is first sent off to deliberate. After weeks of testimony, and silence between the jurors.....what are the first words spoken aloud in the jury room?

My guess today? " Confusion my azz ! "

They were in love... it makes no sense....
If they were in love why was she having an affair and making plans to leave him?

They were in love? Ok then….. 🙄

It’s interesting to look back on the very first thread on WS when Ana was missing. MadMagoo told us not to sleuth the husband. Which was the correct call, at that point in time! But wow, how things changed.

I keep thinking about the poor children, then and now.

  • Possible sentence: Walshe faces life in prison without the possibility of parole if convicted of first-degree murder. He could be eligible for parole after a number of years if he’s convicted of second-degree murder.
  • Lesser charges: Last month, Brian Walshe pleaded guilty to lesser charges, and he faces up to 10 years in prison for misleading police — though that could be enhanced up to 20 years if he is convicted of murder.
  • Inside the courtroom: Ana Walshe’s friends and family were in the courtroom this morning, including Gem Mutlu and Alissa Kirby, who both testified during the trial. Several supporters have hugged each other, occasionally wiping tears from their faces.
