Alleged Andy Warhol art fraudster out on bail​

A 43-year-old Lynn man who federal prosecutors say stole two Andy Warhol paintings from a former college classmate and then used them to produce counterfeits he sold to a Los Angeles gallery owner he met after posting them on eBay was released yesterday when his mother posted his $75,000 bail. Boal ordered Walshe to have no contact with his college roommate or Rivlin, submit to electronic monitoring and surrender his passport, among other conditions of his release.

25 Investigates: Ana Walshe’s condo in Revere sale recorded days before her disappearance​

The deed from the sale of a Revere condo owned by Ana Walshe was recorded by the Suffolk County Registry of Deeds on December 29. ...

The condo is located on Revere St. a few blocks up from Revere Beach Blvd. Property records show the 670 sq foot rental unit was purchased in Ana Walshe’s name in January 2020 for $137,000. It was put on the market in November for $199,000 and quickly sold 8 days later for the above asking price of $220,000.

The sale was finalized on December 17 and documents obtained by 25 Investigates reveal Ana’s husband Brian was involved in the transaction. The documents list Brian Walshe as the “grantor’s” or seller’s spouse. His signature and a photocopy of his driver’s license are included in the binder.

Attorney on Ana Walshe case: “Children need to be heard”​

“Given how much time they have spent at the home investigating, what does that indicate to you about the children,” Kavanaugh asked.

Mike Silva, who was renting an apartment from the Walshes, wished his pal a Happy New Year at 7:24 a.m. on Jan. 1 — but he didn't receive a reply until the next day.

"Happy new year. Sorry for the delay. I miss [sic] placed my phone and my son just found it," Brian Walshe wrote.

Less than two hours after Brian Walshe replied to Silva, he went on a shopping spree at Home Depot in violation of his house arrest stemming from his felony convictions for hawking fake Andy Warhol paintings.

Mother of missing Ana Walshe 'can't believe' son-in-law killed her​

Ljubicic was staying at the Cohasset, Massachusetts, home of her daughter and son-in-law when she suffered the stroke on November 9, 2021. Ana was away working in Washington, DC at the time.

'I can say he saved my life then and that is why I can't believe he is responsible – I just can't believe it.'

She said Ana, 39, visited her in Belgrade in November and December last year and she never said a bad word about her husband.

But she knew there was some strain on their marriage because Ana had to spend so much time in Washington, where she worked, and her husband could not leave Boston because he was under house arrest for a 2018 scam when he sold fake Andy Warhol paintings on eBay for $80,000.

According to this public incident report, Ana Knipp (her maiden name), told DC Metro police that Brian Walshe, “made a statement over the telephone that he was going to kill her, and her friends.”

Ana added Brian now lives in Boston, Massachusetts.

Brian Walshe is not named in the report, but Ward’s sources indicate the suspect here is Brian Walshe.
