As search for missing Massachusetts mother Ana Walshe continues, documents show criticisms of her husband | CNN

Ana Walshe told police in 2014 someone threatened to “kill (her) and her friend,” according to an incident report CNN obtained from the Washington DC Metropolitan Police Department. A spokesperson for the department confirmed that Brian Walshe was the person involved in the report.

The report was filed by Ana Walshe – then Ana Knipp – when she resided in Washington, DC. The case was later closed because the victim refused to cooperate with the prosecution, the spokesperson said.

Ana Walshe disappearance: Key moments in the search for the Massachusetts mother

[...]

A probable cause affidavit says Brian Walshe told police that the couple went to bed after a friend left around 1 a.m. and that Ana Walshe left for the airport between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m.

Brian Walshe also told police he spent New Year's afternoon doing errands for his mother at Whole Foods and CVS — but he was not seen on security video from either store, according to the affidavit.

[...]

According to a police log, Ana Walshe’s phone connected to a cellphone tower for the last time at 3:14 a.m. Jan. 2, within a quarter-mile of the area of Reservoir Road, which is 0.7 miles from the family's home. Her phone was then turned off, the log says.

Brian Walshe has told police that he visited a juice bar in the nearby town of Norwell early Jan. 2, officials have said.

Police discovered video evidence that Brian Walshe visited Home Depot in Rockland, about 10 miles southwest of the home, on Jan. 2. He was wearing a surgical mask and gloves and bought $450 worth of goods, including cleaning supplies, mops and tape, according to prosecutors.

[...]

The head of security for Ana Walshe's employer, Tishman Speyer, called Cohasset police around 11:45 a.m. Jan. 4 to request a well-being check, reporting that her car was in Washington, that she was last seen days earlier and that the company had contacted her husband, who had not filed a missing person report, according to the police log.

Ana Walshe suffered injury seen in Instagram pic with edited caption

On May 21, 2018, Ana Walshe wrote "Mild concussion, bruised hip and a cut...#vulnerability" as the caption for an Instagram post with a picture of her with a cut above her eye.

While the picture was posted in 2018, Ana Walshe edited it just 35 weeks ago – two weeks before submitting her letter to Judge Douglas Woodlock urging him to impose a no-jail sentence.

The letter, sent on June 1, 2022, states that her husband, Brian Walshe, helped her mother through a traumatic health event.

[...]

Walshe did not only edit one Instagram picture just before sending her letter to the federal judge.

She edited many other pictures on her Instagram account just two weeks before sending the letter, including one promoting an event put on by her husband.

"Please join my husband Brian as he hosts his workshop this evening at 7pm. Eventbrite link in bio," Walshe wrote in the edited post.

Walshes were in rush to sell real estate assets, former tenants say (wcvb.com)

Mike and Mandi Silva, former tenants of the Walshes, described how their relationship with the Cohasset couple recently deteriorated.

"Over time, within the last six months, things started to get really strange with the Walshes," Mandi Silva said.

The Silvas said they rented a Revere condominium owned by the Walshes, but the property was sold out from under them just days before Ana was reported missing.

"Ana was selling all of her assets in the Boston area, including our unit, that they were in a rush to sell it," Mandi Silva said. "Why are you in such a rush to sell our unit? It doesn't make sense."

"This was very out of character for them," Mike Silva said.

Mike Silva said he has known the Walshes for eight years, doing construction work on many of the couple's properties across Massachusetts, including the Jerusalem Road home in Cohasset where the Walshes once lived and was recently sold in March 2022. ...

"They never stayed at a property for more than a year, so I figured maybe they're running from something or hiding for something," Mike Silva said. "I mean, she sold all her properties and walked away with a lot of money."

Her own recent online activity did not appear ominous in any way. Someone with a screen name that matches Walshe’s email address placed a bid on a low-mileage 2008 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet on Dec. 11, following bids on two similar models, as well as a 2016 Jaguar F-Type convertible, over the preceding three weeks. Ana’s final Instagram post before she disappeared, on Dec. 31, read: “Take the risk of optimism.”

Residents of Ana Walshe-managed DC building fear phony agents coverup

Missing Massachusetts mom Ana Walshe managed a luxury Washington, DC apartment building infiltrated by phony federal agents — and residents say she was hiding information about the bizarre episode.

Members of the tenant association in the Crossing building — which houses journalists and government workers in the upstart Navy Yard neighborhood near the Capitol — say they fear that Arian Taherzadeh and Haider Ali will avoid a full public airing of their actions and that Walshe’s employer, Tishman Speyer, is withholding scandalous details from them.

Walshe, 39, was described to The Post as “very forceful and shady” in her handling of the aftermath of the scandal — even claiming to tenants on one occasion that she wasn’t Ana Walshe in an apparent effort to duck their questions following the April 6 FBI raid that busted Ali and Taherzadeh.

Quincy District Court officials confirmed to 7NEWS that investigators returned the warrants to the clerk’s office on Friday. What was specifically recovered during searches of the Walshe’s residence remains unclear as a judge immediately impounded the warrants, blocking media access.

7NEWS sources say that as of Friday evening, with the warrants returned, officials are still awaiting lab results, including DNA results on several items of interest in the case.

Numerous search warrants linked to missing Cohasset woman Ana Walshe delivered to court

[...]

Between 10 and 20 of the documents were returned. While these files were not made public, they typically include affidavits from police officers describing why they think a crime occurred and why they should have permission to search private property in connection with that investigation.

Several search efforts related to the case are known, including those at the home rented by the family and at a North Shore transfer station. ...

Linda Bucci, a former prosecutor, says the district attorney's office continues to gather all kinds of evidence and will likely present that evidence to a grand jury that will attempt to show a motive on what happened to Ana Walshe.

"They have to prove that she's gone and connect her to it somehow," Bucci said. "Like, that she didn't just take a walk or is visiting somebody or ran away. So they have to prove she's dead and they have to prove that she didn't accidentally die."

Prosecutors could bring a formal complaint to the district court for a murder charge or wait for that grand jury to formally indict Brian Walshe, who is currently being held on high bail after being charged with misleading a police investigation.

"They have evidence," Bucci said. "They might have spoken to him. He might have given them evidence. So, they're on their way, but they're not there yet."
