Police describe Schepper as being a 5'10 white man with brown eyes and brown hair.

He was last seen Feb. 11. Since then, he has not appeared at work, and his cellphone has not been active, with all calls going to voicemail.

The Sturbridge Police Department originally released a BOLO for Schepper but later changed it to “missing and endangered.”

“Please know that numerous investigators are currently assigned to this active investigation, and we remain committed to working with all our law enforcement partners in hopes to locate Austin,” the police department wrote on Facebook.

He has no record of any vehicular infractions or other civil/criminal cases in the county in which he disappeared. I'm going to assume, that the "endangered" may be due to a health issue/condition.

Just of note - in his Facebook page it indicates he took a job as head Chef at an Olive Garden in South Dakota in September but in the thread it says that was 2018. Looks like his most recent job was at a music related business.. Austin Schepper

L/E makes no mention if Austin's phone has been pinged or if cctv video has been recovered where his car was found. This could be a self harm situation but I hope I am wrong.

Investigators note that Schepper has a valid license to carry a firearm and has been entered into the National Crime Information Center database.

His having a CCW permit and being entered into the National Crime Center database aren't necessarily related, which the news article didn't really clarify. I assume they are referring to the database in the National Crime Center Information Center. The NCIC is a computerized index of criminal justice information (i.e.- criminal record history information, fugitives, stolen properties, missing persons). It is available to Federal, state, and local law enforcement and other criminal justice agencies and is avaiable for query by authorized individuals with official duties 24/7. On Friday, district attorney's office said in a press release that a body had been recovered in the 100 block area of Union Road in Holland.

The press release referenced an ongoing investigation of a missing person out of Sturbridge, but said the identity of the deceased person had not yet been confirmed.

There is no ongoing threat to the public, the press release states.

In a social media post on Sturbridge police Facebook page, Police Chief Earl Dessert said this is “sad news to report to you.”

He was also autistic according to his

"District Attorney Anthony Gulluni extends his condolences to the victim’s family," the release said.
This was quoted from my previous post. I guess Austin's death is a homicide, how sad.
RIP Austin.
Extremely sad, a victim of foul play.
